You'd imagine he'd love the opportunity to prove a point to County, too.

Piehutt
Ray McKinnon wouldn't be a disaster, albeit Arabs I've spoken to certainly don't rate him as a manager. Dundee Utd haven't exactly blossomed since he left, so it may be this is simply their level at present. However, don't really see the point in punting Duffy to bring McKinnon in. Don't see much of an upgrade there. Edited May 14, 2018 by Piehutt

I’ve said I wanted him in before Duffy was even punted. Think he’s got the relevant experience at this level required.
montheton
I hope someone like jim Goodwin has applied for the role. His attitude as a player was brilliant for teams he played for and if he brought that as a manager then it would give us a players wanting to play for him. Bit like the job neil warnock does.

btb
No white smoke emerging from Cappielow yet? The longer this goes on the more you’d have to reckon they’re waiting on Hopkin………………………….

PauloPerth
Any Morton fans with stats on the clubs' all time top premier league/ Premiership scorers since 1975? Other than Andy Ritchie top with 800 goals, obviously! If anyone has a comprehensive list, it'd be good if you could bring it here...

Dynamo Fuchtherest
That's Davie Moyes looking for a new gig too as well as Allardyce!! Dundee Utd release Flood, Mohsni, Gillespie and Durnan. Durnan could be a good replacement for O'Ware

I wouldn't be averse to Hopkin coming in but whether Livi go up or not I think he might get better offers than ours. A lot might depend on how he would feel about relocation if necessary if a bigger job came up. That said, who knows if he's interested or has applied or if we will have sounded him out. -

The longer this goes on the more you’d have to reckon they’re waiting on Hopkin…………………………. Hopefully. Frustrating time as us fans obviously want someone in but the club are doing the right thing by going through a proper recruitment process. We have heard rumblings of Mckinnon, Sheerin etc being interviewed but nothing concrete and I don't think many have a clue at this stage. Would like to think this time next week we will have someone in and for me I 'm hoping its Hopkin or McIntyre. I have no doubt we have ran it past Hopkin( no idea on McIntyre) and I wonder if he has given an indication that he would be interested and that is why it's dragging its heels a bit. If we have asked and he has said no, you would imagine an appointment would have been made by now as the interview process for the final 3-5 man shortlist has been ongoing for about a week now. Wishful thinking possibly, and for all we know, we will announce Lee Mc Bloody Culloch tomorrow!!
M0rtonfc
McIntyre would be my 1st choice out of all the names flying about but knowing us Yogi Hughes will be announced. YOGI YOGI YOGI.......Oi Oi Oi
Tri-TON
Mark Durnan is a thug, wouldn't want him at centre half, he's just the type that can lose you a game for giving away penalties, free kicks or even being sent off.
IainMorton
I’d take Mohsni and Flood tbh...

We are looking for a centre half Mohsni would fit that bill though no rumours from our side. Flood would be good for you Mohsni also if no premiership team is after him.
Coventry Saint
You'd imagine Flood would leap at the chance to be the best-looking guy in town.
