Aye wingy game was exciting from start to finish.

Mistakes, OG`s, sending off & some great finishing from both sides.

Calum Smith put in some shift as the sole striker, scored a great goal into the bargain, won motm award.

Really no sure how the league will go m8? had a feeling from day one it was going to be different this season with the top 4 from last term finding it more difficult to pull away from the pack.

Early indications would suggest that those sentiments may not be too wide of the mark.

Suppose if any side manages to go on a wee run at some stage things could become clearer.

Good bunch of lads at Kelty Hearts this season again though.

Hopefully get along and see the new pitch in two weeks and should be a good game as Broxburn are used to playing on the astro and hope it's a nice day and Kelty get a good crowd who want to see the new improvements and a good game of football

Is the new pitch going to be ready for the Broxburn game?

Was really good to get those 3 points today at what could prove to be a fairly difficult venue for sides this season.

Game was even enough first half, though `The Hoose` probably looked the more dangerous side going forward.

Kelty Hearts managed to find a way to victory in the 2nd half however despite being reduced to 10 men with 25 mins remaining.

Good to see skip with his leg support off today & doing some very light exercise prior to the match after getting his leg fractured pre-season at Irvine Meadow, all the best Skip.

Also good to see Brian Ritchie back from injury, thought Brian did really well when he came on in the 2nd half today, put in a good shift for the team.

Well done lads.

*No linesmen today*

No at our fluent best the day but we are going to get it tough every match we play.

That was a vital 3 points, very strange league this year and any team who can get a run going could create a wee gap.

Great to see Shak back and putting in a top performance alongside Tam and the Skip back in light training.

Happy with our start after 6 really tough away matches, all positive going into our William Hill Scottish Cup tie this week.

No nice seeing the referee with no help today, is it possibly a stance from the SFA towards the SJFA for them not being behind the pyramid, don't know if all the Lowland Legue had linos today but it's the clubs and the referees who suffer which isn't good.

Think it's a matter of priority for the sfa. The lowland league as part of the professional game will always now have assistants for every game. In the future i'd expect that if it came down to it that the lowland would get assistants even if it meant some junior games went without a man/woman in the middle. Don't know if this would be a stance by the sfa or just a consequence of them actually governing that organisation as opposed to the (almost exclusively) self governed juniors.

Was a pleasure being at civil service on Saturday and some excellent football played by Kelty...very difficult to pick which was the best goal as hubby's free kick, cagi's 2nd and Scott Gates goals were all fantastic...a very healthy away support as well hope the get the luck of the draw in the next round with a home tie....
