Bundesliga 2024/25

Recommended Posts

Off to Berlin for the first time next week but unfortunately not going to see any football given the way my flights and the fixtures have panned out. Going to try and do a scout about for as many stadiums as I can so I can go and have a wander around of a few of them. Hertha and Union are the obvious ones but it looks like there are four or five worth having a look at.

Blau-weiß Friedrichshain are playing Vfb Einheit zu pankow on the Saturday 20.10.18 at 1300 at the metro sports platz (on top of a shopping centre). Quite an interesting set up.

U-Bahn (U2 Line) train stops basically right outside the Friedrich Ludwig Jahn Sportpark. The stadium itself hosts BFC Dynamo Berlin home games and has a real Cold War/Soviet feel about it. It is labelled as 'Floodlight Porn' by those who are into their floodlights. There are smaller pitches surrounding it which are used by Berlin Liga (6th Tier) side SV Empor Berlin and various youth teams.

Second visit to Hertha for myself this weekend. Should have been 3 points but for an absolute thunderbolt from Freiburg. Unbelievable drama at the end with the referee awarding a penalty then deciding to go to VAR only to overturn his original decision.

Can't see the away section because of the sunshine, were there many Freiburg fans there?

An enjoyable game in Leverkusen, although their last kick of the game 94th minute equalizer was a kick in the baws!
VAR penalty for Leverkusen in the 6th minute, which Esser saved. Muslija scored a peach of a free kick to give H96 a deserved lead. US striker Bobby Wood had a goal disallowed, from which Leverkusen ran up the park and got the equalizer. A well struck volley from Felipe restored the lead. Felipe then got himself sent-off 3 minutes later. A last half hour of parking the bus and time-wasting ensued with the time-wasting in vain as Leverkusen got the equalizer to end 2-2!

Next up, home to Augsburg.

Not enough to fill the entire away section but there was a lot more than I excepted. Both clubs fans had some sort of banner display in protest about playing on a Sunday over the past years. 53000 was the attendance

Was there on Saturday myself, just at the other side of the fence to the left of the Hanover fans there. Enjoyed the game. Went to Wattenscheid v Rot Weiss Essen the following day (finished 0-2). Very different but enjoyable too.

Certainly a good game for a neutral.

How many in attendance at the Wattenscheid - RWE game?

Google has given me a list of Fixtures for the the rest of season and I'm wondering how accurate the list is? I'm looking ahead for the Hertha vs Dortmund game which it says will take place on the weekend of the 16/3. When the league confirms the fixtures do they just decided what day over that weekend the game will take place e.g. The Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday?

The exact day and time (Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon) is usually announced about 6 weeks in advance

Dates fixed for Match days 15 through to 22 (10th February) announced earlier.

H96 must have pissed someone off, getting 5 Sunday slots, 3 of which in a row all at 6pm!:thumbsdown

@German Jag

I'm sure you've posted a list of when the blocks of fixture times were announce last year. Could you repost?

Going to Cologne on weekend 8-10th Feb. Were these announced just after last 16 CL/EL draw in mid Dec?

7th November was when the made the announcement last year.

Will imagine it'll be the same this year, especially seeing as the dates and times for the last 3 rounds before Christmas have still to be set.

A more than shite 4 days for H96, losing 1-2 on Saturday in a turgid game (Bebou‘s consolation goal aside) against Augsburg.

Followed up this evening with a 0-2 defeat at home to Wolfsburg in the DFB Pokal. Never really in the game with Wolfsburg going 1 up after 20 minutes. H96 huffed & puffed their way through the rest of the game without any clear-cut chances.  Game ended as Wolfsburg got their 2nd on the stroke of full time.

Good away crowd, although their Halloween outfits looked a bit KKK!
