Stellaboz Posted January 22, 2020 Share Posted January 22, 2020 We were actually flying back home straight after so had booked taxis to pick us up at some kind of convention centre just outside the stadium about 10 minutes before the end to bomb down the autobahn to Köln-Bonn Airport (do they still have announcements saying "Its Bonn. Köln-Bonn." in a bizarre German Sean Connery accent?). They don't have that at Köln Bonn anymore no, sadly. I also noticed they signed a guy from Lyon the other day for €20-odd million and then loaned him straight back. Have Hertha come into a bit of money?Yes, the new owners have stated they want Hertha not only to be a big club in Germany but that they have ambitions to be one of the biggest in Europe. For all he did he might as well have been standing next to me.Miserable conditions with snow/sleet through the 1st half, requiring a switch to the orange ball midway through. Drove past there stadium a few years ago when heading for Bad Schallerbach in Austria, beautiful part of the world! Thankfully my work schedule has allowed me to go to the game albeit I'll be working in the morning then need to drive to Lübeck after the game so no boozing! German Jag Posted February 2, 2020 Author Share Posted February 2, 2020 An eventful last 10 minutes as H96 went from 0-1 to 2-1 before Wiesbaden got a last minute equaliser to send theIr small number of fans a bit happier down the road. Bit of understandable anger creeping into the feeling on the terraces, with the team just 2 points above the relegation/play-off spots. Hopefully not, but struggling to see where the points will come from over the next set of games.
