Cracking final day drama.

When the Dortmund long ball came in and the boy went up with the keeper I was getting John Sutton wiping out Clangers at Pittodrie

Dortmund missed a so many chances. Should have got the three in the second half even after the disasterous first half.

It wouldn't be me applauding. Bottlers, apologies to Hibs, you never did anything as bad as this

Losing a last minute goal to Accies at home in the Playoff final is close.

But there can't be many times a team has bottled a final game at home with the league on the line.

On a similar note, FCH's greatest player retired yesterday after a 2 year spell at Waldhof Mannheim where he was dreadfully misused. A bit like his final year at Heidenheim where he deserved a better exit. If Frank Schmidt has any sense, he'll bring Schnatti back to coach in the Bundesliga. He was certainly good enough to play there.

Was quite funny that Heidenheim were losing 2-0. Made it 2-1 in injury time and then got a winner.

Must be very deflating for them, would make Stuttgart favourites for the Playoff.

Small correction, they made the 2-1 shortly after the 2-0, then equalised in 90+3 and scoring the winner in 90+9.

The proverbial shite day at the office as H96 went down meekly to Holstein Kiel 1-5. 3-0 down at half-time. Bartels made it 5-0 with two goals in quick succession on the hour mark. Neumann with a consolation goal 10 minutes thereafter. Usual larger than usual crowd, 36.000, for the last game of the season.

Watched the german equivalent of Sportscene earlier. Some real Albert Kidd stuff in Sandhausen. The Hamburg end shooting their load as the Heidenheim score in Regensburg filtered through. Flares, fireworks and a pitch invasion at the end, only for news of Heidenheim‘s 99th minute winner to come through. Tears left, right & centre.

It will be interesting to see if they manage to pick themselves back up for the play-off. This will have been such a massive blow mentally to Hamburg that it could affect them badly. Losing it in such a way will have been so much tougher than had Heidenheim just spanked Regensburg so Hamburg knew from early on that it wasn't to be yesterday.
