Hamburg stuck in the 2nd tier for another season.

How many seasons is that they have been in the 2nd tier?

Another season there for Schalke as well.

Next season will be their 7th in the 2nd tier. They've been very constant with their league position, every season they've finished either 3rd or 4th.

H96‘s season came to an end with a 1-2 loss against already promoted Holstein Kiel. Plenty of Kiel fans in jubilant mood, with the hope of going up as champions. Nothing doing in that regard, as St. Pauli got the required 3 points against Wiesbaden.

As regards the game, Kiel the better side, with a deserved 2-0 lead at half-time. Ron-Robert Zieler not looking good at either of the goals. Final score 1-2 courtesy of an easy header for Louis Schaub.

6th is H96‘s joint best finish since since being relegated in 2018/19.

As regards changes between the leagues, Köln @Stellaboz will be looking to meet up and Darmstadt are down. St. Pauli & Kiel are up, with Bochum and Düsseldorf in the play-off on Thursday & Monday. If Düsseldorf lose, then will mean  that 5 of the Euro 2024 stadiums are in Tier 2.

Ulm & Preussen Münster come up from the 3rd. Two grounds I‘ve not been to, so somewhere new for next season. Wiesbaden play Regensburg in the 2nd/3rd division play-off (Friday & Tuesday).

H96‘s B-Team were champions of the Regionalliga Nord, and are in a play-off with Würzburger Kickers for a spot in the 3rd division.

Season ticket renewal time, with the club increasing prices +/- 5% (1st increase in 4 years). In the Nordkurve though (Ultras section) an increase of 22% is being implemented. Basically the club saying if you want to do all your pyro stuff, then we‘ll be looking for you to pay a fair whack of the fines.

Aye looking forward to a few beers with you sir, hopefully see you next month at some point too.

As regards to the play offs, Regensburg didn't look that impressive couple weeks back at Viktoria. Not sure what the quality gap is like between top end 3/bottom end 2 but they'll definitely have to play better than that.

3-0 to Dusseldorf away to Bochum in the first leg of the play off.

The top flight team has won the playoff ten out of the last eleven years I think with Union Berlin being the outlier.

Kaiserslautern vs Leverkusen in the DFB Pokal final tonight, on Viaplay/Premier Sports.

There seemed to be a heck of a lot of cup finals in Germany today.

That'll be the regional pokals that act as qualifying for the big pokal for the sides below the 2.Bundesliga.
