Mr. Brightside
What a shambles of a second goal for Bayern. Aye a good old stramash.
Dindeleux
Good to see that the video referee won't stop players from wasting time moaning and remonstrating with the actual ref. -
Forest_Fifer
H96 apply to the DFL to rescind the 50+1 ownership rule and give full control to Martin Kind. Kind has been involved and stuck a lot of money in over the required 20 years which are required to facilitate such a request.http://m.dw.com/en/martin-kind-to-assume-full-control-of-hannover-96-as-supporters-protest/a-39916308 Not the biggest fan of Kind (seems to expect new managers to turn things around immediately, hence the high turnover), although he has dug into his own pocket on numerous occasions, not just investment but also paying off stupid stuff like the damage to Sandhausen's stadium when getting promoted (ca. €250,000). This why the fans kicked off today against Burnley, some sort of protest?
German Jag
9 hours ago, Forest_Fifer said: This why the fans kicked off today against Burnley, some sort of protest? Basically yes, though not sure what they think that throwing seats at Burnley fans will achieve. Was at the game, though in the Bob Lord Stand behind the dugouts. In the Inn on the Wharf pub, which had been designated as where away fans should go, prior to the game. No trouble or anything, but a fair few already v. drunk (at 12:30) plus a couple of faces you only seem to see at games deemed "high risk"! The majority of the ca. 400 H96 fans were then escorted to Turf Moor by about 30 police (4 or 5 mounted). First 15 minutes were fairly meh, then H96 had a good spell with Füllkrug, Albornoz & Klaus all missing good chances. Just after the half-hour mark about half the away fans rushed over to the segregation line ( not sure why, but a rendition of 10 German bombers is being given as the reason on FB/Twitter), next minute seats are being thrown, a lot of gesturing etc. Mee put Burnley 1 up just before half-time, then about 10 minutes after the 2nd half should have kicked off, it was announced that the game had been abandoned on police advice. By this time there were helicopters and riot police in place. Left the ground, walked up to Manchester Road station and got the train to Leeds. There's enough stuff on social-media to hope that a large number of the numpties involved get banning orders etc. All they've achieved is to sully the reputation of the club, ensure that there'll be even more scrutiny on away fans for the upcoming BL season and negate the likelihood of a similar pre-season game in the UK in the near future.
Am Featha Taigh Nan Clach
Am heading over that weekend as well for two games. Frankfurt on Saturday and trying to get tickets organised for Darmstadt v Bielefeld on Sunday. Does anyone know how I can purchase tickets in advance for Darmstadt? Phoned the club this morning and I can't buy them at the stadium on match day, can't print at home, and can't order on line. I can however buy at Loop5 shopping mall on day of game, but it couldn't be any further away from the stadium. Are you guys travelling over from Glasgow on the Friday night with Ryanair? That's what we're doing, and heading back Monday night. We're going out from Glasgow with Eurowings on Friday at midday (to Dusseldorf) and back on Monday morning. We always go th

Internet Citizen
Sooner HSV get relegated from the BL the better... Came on to say the same thing. They've been clinging on for years now, surely this is their year.

Internet Citizen
Two late goals for Hertha last night, so at least they go through. I worry that the squad isn't strong enough, or has the depth, especially with Europa League as well this season. Although, I've had that worry about the squad for the last couple of years. They've had a couple of relatively successful seasons that they should be trying to build on.

Hopefully making either the Shalke game or Europa league game in October (depending on fixtures) and the Dortmund game in January.

NorthernJambo
Bayern looked a big shaky at the back but going to happen when they're 2-0 without getting out 2nd gear. If they step up then aye, you're right could be a hiding.
