bob the tank
Fantastic EVEL quote by Chris Bryant (lab) there, the Barnett formula will be decided by how generous England wants to be. Good grief....
Ad Lib
According to the VAT Rules, a body that merely obtains funding from an LA is not a public body. English police forces don't "merely" obtain funding from LAs.

strichener
English police forces don't "merely" obtain funding from LAs. Yes they do. Role of the PCC41 Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) were elected across England and Wales on the 15th November 2012. When PCCs took office on the 22nd November 2012 they became responsible for a combined police force area budget of £8 billion. The role of the PCCs is to be the voice of the people and hold the police to account. They are responsible for the totality of policing.
