Enjoy your game today, wherever you are and whatever the result. Remember it's just a friendly and it's all about fitness at the moment. Just go and enjoy the game and support your new players. Don't make snap judgements, give your new players time to settle into your club and system, and give them a chance. Enjoy your day, and tell us all about it this evening.

I'm sure everyone will enjoy their games and Saturday nights now since the mayor of pie and bovril has spoken . ;)

MARYHILL JUNIORS 9, OVERTOWN THISTLE 0 at the Firhill Complex. Hal-time 2-0. Scorers first half Quinn and Monaghan. Overtown gave a good account of themselves in the first half, and missed three good chances. As the second half progressed, fitness and tiredness set-in.

Good work-out for both teams. Second half scorers Fraser 3, Asnati 2, Banks and Orr. Worth noting, Fraser,

Asani and Orr all came off the bench.

Maryhill should face stronger and fitter opposition against Drumchapel Ams at Loretto on Wwednesday.

Anybody have full goalscorers/results from games: Petershill v Partick Thistle and Vale of Clyde v Shettleston. I believe the Vale game was for the East End Friendship Cup. Maybe sponsored.

Easthouses Lily 2-0 Dalkeith Thistle.

We were rusty today but i suppose thats what pre season is for....to get prepared for the league campaign on 8th August. Good performance from the Lily and impressed with their ground improvements. Im sure they will cause teams problems in the South Division this year. Good luck to them.
