scottsdad
Thanks guys. He seems to have taken well to the album I made and is now thirsting for more. Will certainly include some of these suggestions. For a shy boy he seems to like the louder, harder metal sounds rather than straight classic rock. 11thHour
Thanks guys. He seems to have taken well to the album I made and is now thirsting for more. Will certainly include some of these suggestions. For a shy boy he seems to like the louder, harder metal sounds rather than straight classic rock. Got to go with Metallica then. Then your usual Metal stuff like Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath. Others I would give him a blast of: Guns 'n' Roses Slash's solo stuff Testament Tenacious D Royal Blood Ozzy Osbourne Volbeat Seether Rob Zombie Queens of the Stone Age Foo Fighters Good mix of Rock/Hard Rock/Metal there. itzdrk
Heavier stuff is more like it! Atreyu The Blackout Bleeding Through Bring Me the Horizon The Devil Wears Prada Five Finger Death Punch I Killed the Prom Queen Killswitch Engage Parkway Drive We Came as Romans Should be a good starting point. V v v v good bands.
itzdrk
With the exception of Killswitch, that's probably the worst list of suggestions of 'heavier stuff' I've ever heard tbh. Did you see the list above mine? Poor boy was gonna have to listen to Slash and Tenacious D
itzdrk
I did see it, yes. Thanks for agreeing.
Bert Raccoon
As much as it's good to get the young one into the harder side of rock from a young age, just be careful he doesn't get an interest in leather trenchcoats and firearms.
YassinMoutaouakil
I think for the most part everyone's managed to avoid suggesting Emo/Goth bands which usually result in trenchcoats being donned and firearms loaded.Yeah but he'd be cool as f**k with good taste so swings and roundabouts really. Archie
I'd through in a bit of James Taylor, maybe some early Neil Young, some The Band, maybe even a little Van Morrison. That way you can raise a mellower individual, rather than Jeremy Clarkson, as is the inevitable result of a steady diet of that crap. Not necessarily those artists but cant disagree with the rest of it.
