DannyKillie123
Genuine question to settle an ongoing office "discussion". Would you consider Craig Gordon and Virgil Van Dijk to be "European Class" players? I.e defined by them being amongst the best players that their country has to offer and has the potential to play for any of the major teams in Europe. Ignoring whether you like, hate or are indifferent to the team they play for.

Currahee!
No. Gordon at his peak was pish for Sunderland. Nonsense. Was his save against Everton not voted greatest ever Premier save?
AberDon
Nonsense. Was his save against Everton not voted greatest ever Premier save? Save was against Zat Knight of Bolton, I think.

gkneil
Craig Gordon should have gone on to be one of the top keepers in the Premier League for +/-10 years when he left Hearts. Unfortunately that didn't happen, with the main reason being the injuries he suffered. Fantastic goaly who, again if not for injury, would have earned well over 100 caps for Scotland as well as being a success down south.

forameus
Craig Gordon is probably the only one that could possibly be considered. If this was pre-injury Craig Gordon, I'd be a lot more confident about it.
