Loki
The draw for the Canadian masters is out and thanks to rafa Nadal's wrist injury Andy Murray scrapes into the top eight seeds. This means he gets a bye into round two. He will more than likely face Nick kyrgios in the second round. He will be very confident after beating Nadal at Wimbledon. He is likely to face karlovic then Gasquet before meeting Novak in the qf. He will likely face dimitrov or wawrinka in the semi, with Roger Federer seeded to meet in the final. He is defending a last 16 position from last year where he surprisingly lost to Ernie Gulbis. So any kind of points boost will be handy if he wants to remain in the top eight for us open seedlings. He could be out of the top 10 on Monday morning if nishikori continues to do well in Washington.
TheScarf
He'll win this tournament, lose 2nd round in Cincinnati, then win the US Open like a top boi.
booitsme7
Nick Kyrgios beat Santiago Giraldo 7-6 7-5 to set up a 2nd round match with Andy Murray.
Loki
A good test for Murray, kyrgios has an excellent serve but it can disintegrate under little pressure. If Murray returns well he wins this match. A good service match from kyrgios could see the upset, but don't think it will happen. Winner of this tie plays the winner of karlovic Gasquet. Another good match today should be monfils Novak. Murray is first on court so should be on about 4pm depending on rain.
booitsme7
Murray won the 1st set 6-2 and it is currently on serve in the 2nd set with Kyrgios leading 2-1.
Mr Bairn
Good to hopefully see Andy back on form. A lot of people forget that before that utter capitulation to Dimitrov he was coasting through Wimbledon and had one of if not his best clay court seasons. Hopefully he will get back to his vintage best in the US open series.

footiechick
Looked great - I've never seen his thighs look so muscly! Obviously been working hard in gym
Loki
His variation in his shot selection and direction made easy work of kyrgios. His serve was wonderful today but with all big servers they are poor returners, so it's difficult to read too much into it, but, power precision, spin and depth were very good. He's on the cusp of being back to his best. He just needs that big win to kick him on. Still think he lacks a bit of court confidence, but he's just about there which is pleasing.
Loki
If monfils wasn't so mentally fragile he would be a contender.

booitsme7
Andy Murray is in the Quarter Finals as Richard Gasquet has pulled out with an abdominal injury. Murray will play Tsonga after he beat Djokvic 6-2 6-2.
Loki
Bit gutted that Tsonga beat Novak as I was wanting Murray to take him apart like that. He didn't look good against monfils. Tsonga hasn't beat Murray since he knocked him out of the Australian open on his way to the final. The problem with Tsonga is if his service game isn't top notch against Murray he doesn't return well enough to get breaks off his own. But he served very well today. Murray has to finish a round further than grigor to be seeded eighth for the US open

peasy23
Tsonga serving for the match at 5-4 up in the 3rd set. Murray had broke first but then lost 3 games in a row to go 5-3 down.

Loki
Tsonga served like a demon. Murray chucked it away with two absolutely horrendous service games in the final set. Very disappointing.
