Reina
Murray's break ratio (is that even what it's called?) is poor.
Gaz
The telling game looks to have been that one where Nadal saved five break points. Come on, son!

Ah, but what level of injury would you wish upon young dubya? Would it be a new, mid aged or older motor vehicle?
qos_75
FFS, Murray is still learning and will be the best British tennis player for may a long year. I wish some people would give the guy a break. Well done to him anyway he is progessing very nicely.
StewartyMac
Tremendous effort by Murray against the 2nd best player in the world. More points to his rankings as well as he was a 1st round loser here last year. Oh, and btw, Tomsk, you are a tit.
Guest Tomsk The Beano
Oh, and btw, Tomsk, you are a tit. Why is it wrong to back Nadal? Money in the bank, only a buffoon would have backed against Nadal the day.
Reina
Bet you were worried during the 4th set though...

I'm not surely how his ranking will change, he'll go above Bagdatis, but Gasquet may go above him if he won his last 16 match... edit: Gasquet lost so Murray stays above him Edited January 22, 2007 by thefamousphilosifer

Why is it wrong to back Murray? Anyway, from losing in the first round last year to losing in 5 sets against the second seed this year would seem to be a reasonable improvement.
Waspie
Murray took the greatest street fighter in the tennis world to 5 sets and the only difference between them was on a few big points. He's made huge progress in recent months and todays game really highlighted that. Proof also that with a bit more experience and hard work that he has the game to win a grand slam.
supermac
Just noticed that Murray was born on May 15, 1987, the day before Mirren won the Scottish Cup! That surely makes him an honourable Buddie?? B)
