Does the BBC have anything like a 'public editor'?

The one at the NYT is good reading, a few times she's totally laid into the publication for which she works.

I think Points of View would have more credibility if it had someone like this, rather than someone who is (understandably) going to be partial.

Also: David Cameron's a pigfucking deviant.

Jeremy Vine takes a minute from the schedule of The BBC's Points of View to explain that the BBC News covered Cameron Pig-gate fully all week, thus proving that there is no political bias emanating from The BBC. That'll be that, then.

Vine is just another Tory fanboy with lots of BBC jobs. This is a man who received a five figure sum for giving a speech at an arms dealers convention, so he's not likely to make any waves for his establishment cronies
