Zen Archer (Raconteur)
It's not a competition but this is just worse than 11/9 Away you go, the terrorists haven't left the streets of Paris full of asbestos dust.
NotThePars
Yup, because there are literally no other terrorist groups in the world. I haven't said that though, have I? What other group is likely to be responsible?
HibeeJibee
The 1972 Munich hostage situation would be the equivalent. In Europe at least, or if you mean the targeting of sports events. Things like the Bombay hotel attacks; the Nairobi shopping centre massacre; and the Moscow theatre siege have many, sad, similarities with tonight. When were spectators at sporting event last attacked in this way. Obviously there are smaller examples like the Boston marathon and Atlanta 1996. Time will tell if the religious slant will be applied to my example, but I'm sure some will.
GiGi
Boy on fb apparently updating from the bataclan saying they're shooting everyone one by one I can't think of anything more terrifying. People in that building knew they were going do die. Waiting for a bullet. Some evil b*****ds in the world.

MuckleMoo
I think the bangs from the theatre were perhaps flash bangs as the police went in. Reports indicate it was the terrorists lobbing granades into the hostages.

YassinMoutaouakil
Aye, I'm not 'above' dark humour per Se but when it's done as completely predictably and unfunny as it always is with them it's just cringey.
