lonewolfie
Ridiculous petershill didn't call this earlier to save our team and fans a bus trip never mind the cost of the bus. There was never a chance if this being on. Indeed! Scant regard for away team and fans tbh. But what's new there?
fan of the juniors
As this video shows we played them 2 years ago almost to the day & it was a farce that day too. Should have been binned earlier on & if I was the Troon bus convenor I would be sending Peasy the bill
Napoleon
We specifically asked them this morning before we confirmed with the bus company as we suspected the game would be called however were informed all was well. Must have been the micro climate that they have in petershill.
peasy23
Fact is the wind was playable earlier today, there was an amateur game on the park at 10am and their players said that it was fine up until the last 20 minutes or so. Wind picked up considerably from 11am onwards.
Glenconner
We specifically asked them this morning before we confirmed with the bus company as we suspected the game would be called however were informed all was well. Must have been the micro climate that they have in petershill. Petershill is in Springburn which is the highest point in Glasgow. Don't blame Petershill, blame every other chunt. Troon Portland
Very frustrating to get up here with a bus full of supporters to be told there wasn't much chance of it going ahead by a Peasy official. And then the ref took 2 minutes to decide it was off. Nobody can do anything about the weather of course, but a wasted journey (and considerable cost involved) for us all was very, very preventable. Hertha/BJFC1938
My sympathy is with troon here , maybe the Petershill management wanted another game off . Wouldn't be the first time eh .
F_T_Y
Why are refs calling games off due to the wind.
superbigal
The petershill pitch looks in decent nick in that video !!!
tommyboy
Why are refs calling games off due to the wind. According to the ref who called off the Tic game today, the safety and entertainment factors should be taken into consideration.
Ardenvohr6
Refs can't call games off due to the wind unless, very close to kick off. Wind could drop if called off too early. Medda v Clydebank was an example a couple of years ago. Test is whether or not ball can stay still in wind. Otherwise goal kicks, corners, pens etc can't be taken.
