FWIW, his farewell on X to Notts County fans seems pretty cut and dry that he wouldn’t be back there. Maybe some gentlemen’s agreement that he’ll sign a PCA in January?

Sounds like hes thrown a bit of a huff at being told he won't be captain going forward, tbh, and is making it clear he won't go back.

Is the number 4 trialist Cameron ?  Maybe didn't get all the paperwork through in time.  Is the trialist we had last week still at Saints?

Would be shocked if 4 isn't Cameron. Looks, worryingly, like they're back to this 5-2-3 bollocks that I fucking hate.

Exacerbated by having Keltjens on the left too. They did play 4/5 different formations last weekend so hopefully it’s just them fiddling about with things.

So aye.

Rae

Wright - Olufunwa - McClelland - Cameron - Keltjens

Smith - Kucheriavyi - Carey - McPake

Kimpioka

?

If they're going that shape then my hope is gone.

I don't even want them experimenting with it, it's dogshit and we'll rarely ever have the players to make it work.

It's just to get minutes in the legs and we know there's still players to come. Hopefully things will move quickly now if the takeover has been completed.

Not ideal that we're wing and a prayer at the league cup group stages again right enough.

No sign of McPherson or Clark is the least surprising news of the day.
