Just watched the wee sheepy dross struggling like f**k against some pub team from an even smaller country than Scotland.  How dreadful is The Premiership when these utter dolts are seen as some sort of saviour?

Welcome us back, P&B. Just be thankful to have a thoroughly professional team back in the top flight.

Oh and Hertz?  Really?  You have to be embarrassed.

I fully agree with your sage like commentary of Scottish football . Is your second name McIvanney ?

With your team signing the pick of the crop from all over Europe I await Scotland's salvation sweeping all before them .

Oh and by the way thanks for coming out in the Iceland chant thread

This is going surprisingly well.  What does everybody think the new name of Murray Park should be?

The 'literally the most pointless youth academy pitch of all time, because we just spunk money we owe to local businesses on 40 year olds to appease the fans, rather than opt to bring our own talent through' Park.  IMO.

Come to think of it, they're a bit like Ross County on a larger scale; screw the youth system, we'll chuck money at guys in their 30's instead.

What can you say about this?

Looks like O' Halloran believes all fake Rangers have to do is turn up for games and the title is theirs end of season, stick on for the treble as well. Good of him to refer to Dundee, Kilmarnock and St. Johnstone as the big teams though, so maybe this is another poor attempt at a wind up.

Michael O'Halloran: Rangers have what it takes to clinch Premiership crown

MICHAEL O’HALLORAN is confident Rangers have what it takes to lift the Premiership title at the first attempt this season.

The former St Johnstone star has joined his Gers team-mates in Charleston this week as boss Mark Warburton has stepped up his preparations for the big kick-off.

O’Halloran told rangers.co.uk: “I guess I can pass on some knowledge about the Premiership, but there are a lot of boys in there who know what it is all about, and many of them played against the big teams last year and beat Celtic. We know what it takes and we are definitely capable of going on and winning the title.

“For us, a good season is us winning the title and hopefully the cups as well.

"Every competition we are in, we need to aim to win it, and I’m looking to have a couple of winners medals come May time. Hopefully, I can play a big part, as every player wants to do.â€

struggling like f**k

You've become a bitter f**k since Rangers promotion, it seems the journey was better for you than this Premiership game.  The pressure is getting to you before a ball has even been kicked.

"Scottish football hating itself to death" is a phrase you've used in the past.

In case you didn't notice we won 3-1 last night against a side camped in their own box and that's including 2 wrongly disallowed goals.  But you, the promoter of Scotland and progressive thinker that abhors people that are full of negativity want to say we 'struggled like f**k' or call us wee sheepy dross.

You have lost all credibility min, you are a joke.

Except we started last season beefing up our youth system and a have just announced four new additions to the youth/development coaching set up, Brittain, Boyd, Quinn and Davy Kirkwood. In addition we're scouting youth players from all over Scotland to expand our current network across the entire area north of the Highland line.

Ranger beneficial to Scottish football.....

" LEE CLARK reckons it’s been easier to sell players on a move to Kilmarnock now Rangers are back in the top flight.

The Rugby Park side yesterday paraded ELEVEN summer signings.

All of them have come from clubs down south — and boss Clark insists many of them could have stayed there.

He said: “From my experience — and what I’m hearing when I speak to people down south — they’re saying this league is getting its wow factor back a bit.

“These lads had other possibilities. Some could have gone to the Championship or League One.

“Part of my selling point was Rangers coming back in. There’s the chance to play in front of a full house"

I'm sure the the directors at Brora Rangers and Elgin City welcome this news, gives them a few more players in 2 or 3 years time.

Well that was an inspired rant.

"Scottish football hating itself to death" is fair comment, there are large swaths of Scottish football 'fans' who spend far more time concerned with goings on and in around Rangers than they do worrying about their own team, one look at many '1 club only' forums confirms that, the threads with most posts and views often center around Rangers.

I agree with the sentiment "scottish football hating itself to death"

However, I don't define that comment as being people talking about Rangers.

Mr Kincardines post was the very definition of Scottish football hating itself to death.  Hence, it is the hypocrisy that I am highlighting, not the sentiment.

Your comment on other club forums is a moot point.  I know on Aberdeen Mad or AFC chat they have one thread where all talk about your club is consolidated into one place, hence the density of posts.  For example, if AFC chat decided to have an 'AFC thread' and a 'Sevco thread', Sevco thread would lose considerably.

Also, like it or not your club has been a significant shaping factor in the Scottish football environment since 2012, therefore it is discussion worthy.  People talk about it.  Why is that a big deal?

I would go as far as to say that these threads dwarf everything else on offer, in post count and views.  The content is mainly what we see on the BRALT and mainly involves people embracing what ever the next great hope / fantasy of something shite happening to Rangers that some numptie of a blogger has dreamed up (Rangers Porn), it has very little to do with discussion and very much to do with wishful thinking and it is definitely borne out of hate.

I'm not going to deny that people hate Rangers

Confirmed. Lee Clark and Killie are box office

You struggled like f**k last night and are sheepy dross.  How is this in the least bit contentious?

Oh and Lee Clark's statement, added to Motherwell and Whistle seeking compensation, just shows how out of touch Diddy posters are with their clubs.

We Sevco fans are clearly the the most forward-thinking and optimistic posters on The Premiership thread.

Rangers boss Mark Warburton reveals he is hoping to sign new Ibrox deal when he returns to Scotland

    22:00, 1 Jul 2016
    By Gary Ralston

HE signed a three-year contract with Rangers last June on £6,000-a-week and his advisors hope to net at least double that under the new terms and conditions.

MARK WARBURTON hope to seal his new deal as Rangers boss on his return from the United States.

But Ibrox chairman Dave King has outlined exactly what they expect in return for a new contract in an open letter to the Light Blues legions.

Warburton wants an end to the speculation surrounding his future by putting pen to paper as soon as possible.

His advisors and King have been negotiating on a new package since before the end of last season, but details are still being ironed out.

Warburton signed a three-year contract with Rangers last June on £6,000-a-week and his advisors hope to net at least double that under the new terms and conditions.

But King has warned what the club expects in return for any deal being struck - and it includes an extension to his current deal or a hefty buyout clause for future interested parties.

Warbuston said: “I said previously we had opened discussions, then I went on holiday. We will re-open these discussions when we go back and hopefully reach a suitable conclusion.

“You’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t - you say nothing and it’s a case of: ‘He’s going.’ You can’t win. It’s difficult so it will be good to put it to rest and give some clarification to it.â€

King has appeared to take a shot across the bow of his manager - and his advisors - in his latest address to Rangers supporters on the club website, this time on the issue of contracts.

King said: “We fully stand by the contracts we enter into and meet our obligations as they fall due.

“But, in instances where we feel a player, coach or manager is performing at a level of consistency above what was anticipated at the time of the original contract we will not wait until contract maturity to recognise this.

“The present board is happy to reward improved performance and effort with an early renegotiation of the terms in favour of the employee but, in all instances, will require something for the club in return.

“This will typically include an extension to the contract period, improved buy out clauses etc. Only under circumstances where we consider demands to be unreasonable and not in the interest of the club and its supporters would we hold the employee to the contract terms.

“If this was practically difficult for footballing reasons, would we agree to transfer a player on terms that are acceptable to the club.â€

Meanwhile, Warburton revealed he had more than a new contract on his mind as he lay on a beach in Florida over the summer and turned the Scottish Cup final defeat to Hibs over and over again in his head.

He said: “I was lying on a beach in Naples still feeling irate. We didn’t want to end a good season on a disappointing note.

“We said to the players: ‘You’ve only got three and a half weeks off, don’t ruin your summer.’ And we did.

“As a group of staff and players we weren’t good enough on the day and maybe it was a game too far.

“We also couldn’t use any of the players we had sent out on loan due to SFA rules, including Jordan Thomson, Ryan Hardie and Tom Walsh.

“They had to be registered by the semi-final and maybe that rule should be changed because surely playing young players in a cup final would be fantastic for them.

“Losing Dom Ball to suspension was also a blow. We couldn’t replace him. He would have given us that physicality in midfield. I’m not saying he would have changed the way things turned out, but he is 6ft 2 ins.

“I can’t speak about the aftermath. It’s a police matter and the authorities are dealing with it.

“In a footballing sense, we knew what we had to do this summer. We knew what we were losing, so we went out and got them and when players became available we took them.â€

Meanwhile, Warburton admits Rangers fans won’t see their strongest team in competitive action until the league season kicks off next month.

Rangers face four games in the League Cup over nine days before beginning life in the Premiership with a home match against Hamilton Accies on August 6.

High profile captures such as Joey Barton and Niko Krancjar are set to sit out the cup tie at Motherwell on July 16 as they continue their build up to full fitness.

Warburton added: “Joey probably won’t play on the 16th - and it’s the same with Niko and Jordan Rossiter.

“We’ve got four games in nine days and the biggest fear is injury. We will have different squads for the 16th, 19th, 22nd and 25th and we will use a lot of the young boys too.

“Our focus has to be the start of the league. I’m hoping by the Burnley friendly on the July 30 we should be able to play our strongest starting 11.â€

Its such a shame for fake Rangers that they have such a punishing schedule at the start of the season with the 4 games in the League Cup, the inconvenience of it all. All the players will be tired out or injured for the Accies game.

No one else has such worries.

Interesting to note that winning the diddy league and losing a Scottish cup final on the second highest budget in Scotland was seen as exceeding expectations for Warburton.

Indeed he's exceeded expectations so much in the eyes of the Rangers board that they are going to double his salary overnight....

It's shit like this that sent the original club down the shitter lads.

They are? where do they (Rangers) state he has exceeded expectations? and where do they (Rangers) state they are going to double his salary overnight?

Dave King clearly states that Warburtons performance was of a level and consistency higher than they expected and that they will not wait to contract expiry to reward him.

This is the main piece I found embarrassing tbh - surely he's simply met the minimum expectations for a manager in his position or are the Rangers admitting they didn't expect to stroll the Championship after all the money they threw at it?

Now the figures are complete paper talk, I'll give you that one - I'd be surprised if he was on as little as £6k a week currently but there is no doubt he's in for a sizeable increase with promotion and the arrival and reported salary of one Brendan Rodgers.

Do you doubt that he is in for a massive wage hike?
