TonMan
Cameron's "legacy" will be as an utter no mark. That would've been the case anyway but this just confirms it. A man who spent his entire political career making concessions to gain power, and offering referendums he knew he'd win...until he ended up messing one up and costing himself. An utter no mark indeed.

LiviLion
Worth remembering, unlike the Scottish Independence referendum, this vote is non-binding... Yep, will be FAF if David Cameron comes out tomorrow and goes "Nah, f**k off". Sadly I don't think that's likely...

Alan Stubbs
Still quite a few London seats to declare, still not over but it's not looking great either! Cameron had to call a referendum, if he didn't he was eventually going to get booted out. His gamble looks like it has failed... Cameron might become a verb in future years for describing panicky short-termism. He did what he thought he had to win the Scottish Independence referendum and the last GE. The consequences of those actions will be him losing his job, Britain leaving the EU and Scotland going Independent anyway. In both cases he probably could've just held his nerve in the first place. williemillersmoustache
Boris currently doing the decent thing, pours his old school chum a brandy, chats pleasantly about old times for a little while, then gets up, leaves a loaded pistol on the table and closes the door behind him on the way out. TonMan
Tempted by that latter point. Corbyn's lack of commitment to the Remain campaign looking disastrous at the moment. This issue goes far beyond Corbyn, and if Labour just look to eliminate him and pretend they're all fine and dandy again then nothing is going to improve for them. The fact that there's an evident anti-EU, anti-immigrant sentiment in some Labour northern areas goes far beyond anything Corbyn has done.
