Yes he's had plenty of miserable games domestically and internationally but he's come on as a player this year and done well at Wembley. If he was in a similar situation to Armstrong right now, i.e. No caps then there'd be a big fuss made over him getting called into the squad after the season he's had. He gets a hard time because he's dreadful at international football....hes barely managed a cross into play and as for his 'done well at Wembley' he missed an open goal linked badly and exposed his full back constantly by being always out of position. He's been consistently dire when not allowed to go at already overpowered teams. He's also now being considered to fill the hole left by injured Adrien Silva in Sportings first team.
