conley
Think he was just laying on a casino floor covered in £50 notes when someone took his photo which ended up on Facebook or something similar His Sunderland manager at the time, think it was Di Canio, went nuts and fined him. Ive often asked that question myself, why do we seldom see left footed right backs? However, I think we should persevere with Patterson. I think he will develop into a solid International full back. He has some excellent attributes.
latapythelegend
See Kingsley is starting at centre back today against Chelsea. Will be interesting to see how he does there against a good team. Even if he has an average game he should really be considered as a replacement for Hanley or Martin. RandomGuy.
He is. Think it's in a back three (or five, whatever)
lanky_ffc
Maybe something to consider the next time we have a friendly. He did play at CB for us a few times and despite not being the tallest, he is pretty decent in the air. He also looks to have developed a lot more physically since moving down. Not sure today is necessarily the game to judge him on though. Chelsea look like they're in the mood.
dogmc
Not watching the game but good to see that he's at least playing. So frustrating that we seem to have decent attacking options for first time in years just as the defence becomes a liability.

Whether or not that's still the case, or whether he's just made a bad move, I don't know.

lanky_ffc
Hopefully Hanley can play his way back into the team. But that's now 3 consecutive clean sheets without him and from what I saw of them on Saturday, they looked fairly comfortable. Not sure why Benitez would want to disrupt that. Can see Hanley at Rangers in the next couple of seasons. Don't know why, and I hope not because I like Hanley and can't stand that lot. But from what I know, they were VERY keen on getting him this summer but got completely priced out.

NM_1919
Quite happy with Paterson but would take Palmer over Hutton. When he's no getting a game for a pish Aston villa team, he's got to go.

RobbieD
Liam Palmer is not better than Alan Hutton. Not even close.
