Big if btw. Mogg and his cronies would go into meltdown. I think that's more than a distinct possibility. What might happen then? A call for May to step down? A vote of No Confidence in the government? Or will it all have to wait until they've had their holidays, which looks like that could be on Thursday now.

I would expect tonights votes to pass by about 315 to 290, expect some absentees

Still wondering about the ramifications if the government lose. (Granny must still be having his afternoon nap)

I still think the biggest spark could be the hardliners like Mogg. Any indication that there is a softening of May’s position could see them losing the plot. May’s biggest threat is still from the ultra-right. That said, this is only a guess; I think it’s hard to predict anything at the moment.

Detournement
The last Labour amendment was defeated 315-285. That's only 600 votes so it'll depend on who turns up later. Last night there were 14 Labour, 2 SNP, 3 Lib Dems, 11 Tories, John Woodcock and Jared O'Mara all MIA.

Tough times Absolutely. Just wondering who will be in government when I get back home. A coalition? Maybe acting in the best interests of the country rather than the best interests of a party.
Big Fifer
Result expected about 1830 for this according to twitter with the Tory rebels seemingly already decided to vote against the government. Heard that before mind.

John Lambies Doos
Nc 17 govt. LosesInsignificant if you ask me. Medicines makes perfect sense.NC18 is the big one, if they are defeated here they will have to negotiate a customs union if no deal is made. This is pretty big for May and the Govt.

This is pretty big for May and the Govt. It will be easy enough for them to get out of that. They can't even negotiate for things they want never mind a customs union they are against. It's also difficult to see May surviving to 2019 if she doesn't get a deal through this year.
