Just watched the highlights. Some excellent saves from Mehmet which is encouraging. Looks like Hippo had a decent game as well, he frustrates a lot of the time but he's constantly looking to make things happen.

Shocking goal to concede, we easily lose two headers than the Chuckle Brothers at centre back are all over the place.

Like QOS away to Dumbarton ?

Dumbarton have a very decent home record and have only been beaten by the odd goal home and away this season. They beat Dundee Utd 1-0 at the Rock and narrowly lost out 1-0 to Hibs so they are no mugs on their own patch.
Admittedly we have gone off the boil in our last 2-3 games but we have kept 2 clean sheets and are still unbeaten in the league [emoji4]

Devlin kept the Hippo quiet in the first half and he switched flanks for the second. He seemed to play a lot better in right midfield and caused a few problems for us.

Theatrics to try and win a penalty though.

Save at the end was an absolute worldly, then the defender blocks a certain goal with his head. Sometimes these things go against you.

Ah well, pretty even game, I thought Falkirk had the better chances although mehmet made a couple of good saves himself. Left footed people should never take penalties.

Relatively please with what I watched.  We played some nice football and another clean sheet which is extremely promising.  We have been defending well now since The Dundee United game and look really strong.  Offensively we are lacking a bit, however I thought O'Connell came on and done a great job, offered something different and was involved in the goal.

Fleming - 9/10 Another outstanding performance, some good obvious saves and the 2 saves at the end were superb, think he collected most balls from crosses that he should have as well, look very solid this season.

Devlin - 7/10 Done well defensively again, had the Falkirk winger in his pocket and he had to change wings to try and get some luck, thought he didn't get much space going forward as much as he has recently, could be down to Falkirk knowing that from the previous fixture.

Meggat - 6/10 Didn't think he done too much wrong, but looks much better at centre half than full back, maybe just out of practice at left back, but back in at centre half for next week please.

Balatoni - 7/10 The defender we needed, cool, calm and collected.  Won everything in the Ayr and has really steadied our defence.

Murphy - 7/10 Didn't look out of place at all, came back in after a month not playing and still looked good next to Balatoni.  Very good backup that we need.

Cairney - 8/10 Best performance in an Ayr top for me, and alas, it's from central midfield.  Always looked to get the ball wide and hit some cracking passes cross field.

Docherty - 7/10 Was always looking for the ball and played the role of Adams for me, breaking up the Falkirk play in the middle.

McGuffie - 6/10 Not his best game for us I though, but certainly didn't look out of place.  Always willing to try ad make something happen and not afraid to take a player on, really encouraging for being only 18.

Harkins - 8/10 Another professional performance from Harkins, again like McGuffie, always looking to take on a man, might not have the pace however he can definitely pull a trick out the bag and beat the defender.  Great composure for the goal and always looked like he wanted the ball.

Gilmour - 6/10 Always looked a threat and played well alongside Cairney, maybe not as effective last night as he has been, but put in a good shift.

Forrest - 7/10 Done what he could under the circumstances of playing as the lone striker.  With the ball at his feet he was doing well and always look dangerous.  Maybe should have more confidence say 18 yards out to just have a strike rather than playing it sideways.

Subs:

O'Connell - 7/10 Came on and changed how we could operate in the final third, was able to hold the ball up well and give time for others around him to try get in a better position, Harkins goal for example.

Donald - 6/10 Thought Mikey done well, was always looking to get down the wing and added that bit of energy to the team, also covered well with Meggat.

Crawford - 7/10 Was a good replacement for Cairney and added more energy in the centre of midfield and never gave their attacking threat a moments peace.
