Haddington player jailed

Take football out of it and I have no allegiance to either side of the old firm.
If someone kicked another person intentionally while laying on the ground then he is not deserving of sympathy. If it was our own brother or sister who was attacked would we accept it?

Sorry, he deserves it.

Rangers fan Craig Wojtowycz, who this season played for Haddington Athletic, was jailed for four months at Glasgow Sheriff Court yesterday (Thursday).

He pleaded guilty to assaulting a Hibernian supporter on the pitch after the final whistle.

The Tranent 24-year-old, who joined the Hi Hi in the summer after winning the South Division with Tranent Juniors last season, has also been given a two-year ban from all football matches.

does the 2 year ban mean he cant play when he is released?

Right, we've had the senior team pish.  Can someone just answer the original question?

Wouldn't claim I'm right as I have no knowledge of these orders. When I read the picture posted above the section that led me to ask was the one that says
"Where one or both of the participating teams represent a club which is for the time being a member (whether full or associate member) of or affiliated to a national football association which is a member of FIFA"

Working backwards, SJFA is affiliated to SFA which is a full member of FIFA so it appeared to me these orders may well apply. Again though only my viewpoint from reading the picture posted.

Interesting. I'm not convinced affiliation would work transitively like that in a legal sense. Seems like you'd get some bizarre situations like anyone who's a member of a trade union would count as an affiliate of the Labour Party, even if they themselves were a Tory member. Or at the next level up, something like an individual trade union being an affiliate of the Socialist International. It'd seem logical that you can't be counted as an affiliate of an organisation that you didn't personally make the decision to affiliate to? Perhaps the forum's resident legal eagle can help out. @Ad Lib?

My reading of that provision would mean that junior sides affiliated to the SJFA would not fall under the class of participants capable of rendering a match a regulated match for the purposes of OBFA.

Just because the SJFA is affiliated to the SFA doesn't mean that its members are.

If one wanted to draw a constitutional law analogy, Scotland isn't a member-state of the EU.

Interesting loophole that junior matches aren't covered by OBFA. I hadn't noticed it.

It does seem a bit ridiculous that you could be prosecuted for singing Billy Boys at Forres Mechanics v Huntly but not Auchinleck Talbot v Kilbirnie Ladeside.
