Kieran Tierney

Recommended Posts

Celtic fans, and the media, will claim hes turning down £15m moves to Arsenal and Chelsea, before he signs for Southampton for £5m. He'll then either break through and win a move to Tottenham, or he'll sit on the bench and end up in the Championship.

Hopefully if he does go the Bayern interest is true would honesly rather him go to the Bundes Liga than Engerland. If he did go to Engerland I hope he chooses Arsenal because as much as i fken hate them Wenger has a good track rec off developing young talent.

Good player but is he willing to have a go at a higher level when he can coast it at Celtic.

Absolutely of course he will...have a guess here but he may be on something like 7/8 K a week with Celtic. If he moves south he would probably triple that immediately and with potential to earn 50k +.

What would you do?

Some players are happy to stay home. For family reasons or taking the easy money. He'll end up on 25K a week at Celtic, it is a decent wage. You can live well off of wages like that.

Tierney will be at Celtic for at the very least another year after this 1 , has the potential to be a great full back for years to come and Scotland are blessed in the left back area. Random guy your analogy seems to insinuate that players earning a move down south to the premier league from Celtic are more likely to fail than succeed but the players who have moved recently seem to be doing reasonably well would u not agree ?

The difference on a 3 year contract with those wages is £3.75m.  No-one would turn that down.  It's all easy money.  I'd take £50k a week to sit on the bench instead of £25k to play.

A cracking prospect.  Shite that he's not a RB - would like to think we could maybe shoehorn him and Robertson into the same team, maybe with one pushed further forward if we ever play a flat midfield four again.

Don't understand why we can't play one of Tierney/Robertson at right back. Not ideal but a better option than Patterson/Hutton surely? Played Whittaker and left back often enough. Just look at Azpilicueta for Chelsea, right footed player playing out his skin at left back.
