Fullerene
I can still remember when Ronald Reagan was seeking re-election and the Democrats were trying to choose someone to stand against him. You had Democrat Senator Gary Hart saying, "I would move the capital to Jerusalem in a heartbeat." to which one of the other Democrat candidates said "Not if I do it first." It seems Trump does the outrageous stuff that others only threaten to do.

Even Trump didn't go that far. This article explains some of the context. I doubt Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's position of power will be lengthy, or his time on Earth possibly. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/03/world/middleeast/palestinian-saudi-peace-plan.html?ref=todayspaper&_r=1 Basically, Palestine would become the Middle East equivalent of Cromartyshire.
welshbairn
The American far right is seriously divided on this issue. David Duke hates it because he hates Jews. The evangelical right love it because it's a step closer to the Israelis bulldozing Temple Mount and building the Third Temple that will bring Jesus back to life as ruler of the planet. Americans are weird.

Granny Danger
How can we have made such incredible scientific, cultural and educational advances and still live in a world where adherence to dogmatic religion still has such an influence? It is genuinly sad and demoralising.

NotThePars
Think the difference is the other presidential candidate did or would row back their stance when they were made aware of how fucking stupid and illegal a move it was.

Probs the former when you remember the big boy heard people talking about the need for transparency around the wall before he started telling folk the wall needed to be see through.
