The Official Former President Trump thread

Maybe Trump has a point about fake news. If people are actually thinking that’s genuine, they might just believe literally anything.
I really don't care, as another opined:

"Subpar dolphin c**t" is just epic.

What? Is it that outrageous considering the president clearly wants to f**k his own daughter? And has basically said so, numerous times?

Didn't even realise Bolton was a serial draft dodger of the Vietnam war. Then he gets into politics and there has never been a war or destablisation project that he didn't love.

One of those were war is great as long as someone else is doing the fighting.

Not surprising that draft dodgers like him, Trump and Dubya are more keen on torture and using their toys than John McCain, Mattis and McMaster.

John McCain is far more of a ‘hawk’ than anyone else you’ve mentioned there. The revisionism on him because he doesn’t like Trump has been astounding.

McCain has always strongly argued against the use of enhanced interrogation techniques torture, and is threatening to block the appointment of the new CIA chief for that reason. John Bolton is the greatest hawk of all of them.

I’m happy to cut McCain slack if he opposes Trump.

It is a sad, horrible fact that we are relying on folk like McCain to reign in the worst excesses of the most unfit man that has ever held high office in the USA.

Rumours that John Dowd, until recently Trump's lawyer, offered Flynn and Manafort a presidential pardon if they kept their mouths shut. Huge if true.

This could be a popcorn occasion.  And by popcorn I mean Rioja and Gathia Mix.

It's thought Manafort won't accept a plea deal because he has a pardon in the bag.
He's looking at dying in prison otherwise.
It's amazing all these lawyers he's got running around doing his bidding. They must be the ones he actually pays.

There are a number of individual actions that could take Trump down.   Pardoning Manafort is one of them.

I thought some of the financial charges were state level and the President can only pardon federal crimes. That and you have to be convicted, financial cases drag out for years. Backtracking on a plea bargain in the hope Trump is around to reduce some of the convictions does not sound all that convincing a strategy.

Mueller’s on top of this. His charges are intentional. He’s going to go after Trump, in the end.

Sacks his VA Secretary and nominates his doctor to replace him.
A nice reward for the lies he told in his medical report.

It’s like a Lewis Carroll book!

”This can’t get any weirder; oh it just has”

I’m sure his chauffeur will make a great Transportation Secretary.
