Anyone who thinks Davidson has Sturgeon on the run clearly gets their opinions on Scottish politics from The Spectator or Brian Monteith, rather than actually watching them go head to head.

Davidson is a total fraud. Folk should leave the calling female politicians they don't like "cows" to the Unionists though.

It would have been yes sir are you sure 7 billion is enough?  Bear in mind too when labour were in power at holyrood they sent 1.5 billion from the block grant back to Westminster.   These parties don't give a shit about Scotland.

There will be no block grant after independence so why are you bothered about it?

An independent Scotland must be fiscally sustainable and able to make significant financial contributions if its application to join the EU is to be successful. That is, of course, assuming that the SNP still wants to join the EU, and therefore the Eurozone, after Brexit.

Oh, how terrifying. We'll crash and burn like all them other countries that broke away from British Rule and were refused entry into the EU.

That's like saying there will be no EU payments when the UK leaves the EU. It doesn't matter.

Better tell Poland and Czech Republic that they'll have to join the Euro. I'm sure they'll listen.

Losing the one of its biggest financial contributors will have a significant impact on the EU's budget. Britain has a large trade deficit with the EU. If the EU wants to charge Britain for access to the Single Market, Britain can similarly charge the EU for access to its market.

Under the EU treaties, Poland and the Czech Republic are obliged to join the Euro as they don't have an opt-out. All new EU entrants are obliged to adopt the Euro under the treaties. The only issues are whether or when they will be able to meet the convergence criteria.

Who do you honestly believe would be worse off. The EU without access to the British market, or the British market without access to the EU single market? We would never charge them trade tariffs, even if they do it to us.

With the current trade deficit, the EU. Its Member States (especially Germany, France and the Netherlands) needs access to the UK markets. For example, Europe's car manufacturers will not want tariffs applied to cars that are made in their British factories. Europe's food and wine industries need tariff-free access to the UK market.

By leaving the Single Market's customs union, the UK would be able to abolish over 12,700 tariffs in trade deals with other countries. Post Brexit, Britain will be able to negotiate with competitors, e.g.the US, Australia, New Zealand and South America, who are affected adversely by EU tariffs. Those benefits were not factored into the Treasury's gloomy Brexit forecasts.

Canada's EU deal will mean that it 98% of those tariffs will not apply to its goods. With its huge trade deficit with Britain, the EU would be crazy not to offer us a similar or much better deal. Free trade with the Single Market will be much better for Britain and an independent Scotland than Single Market membership but the EUphiles continue to conflate them.

Wasn't the the original insult "fat cow"? The jester called her "Fat Ruth".

Her name is Ruth and she is indeed fat. I see no need to call her a cow.
