They scored an incredible amount the season after being relegated. Cheapest Celtic ticket you can get is £27 for a run of the mill game against Dundee or Ross County. Hardly great either tbf
The_Judge
I see that as a problem for LL teams, prices liable to double and playing opponents 4 times a season (not counting cups).

I'd challenge that statement although hopefully HibeeJibee will come along as he'd be much better at making the case .

Top teams are clearly capable. But the middle and lower end of that league really looks horrendous. How many goals did that Shire team manage in their last season of League 2 and their first in the Lowland? I’m sure I seen them scoring 7/8/9 goals in ONE game and positive they’d managed about 20 the season before in league 2.
The_Judge
FWIW if the 'Colts' were introduced to the Lowland League I would probably give those matches a miss.

I’d stop going. I mainly go for the competitiveness, the competitive element is what makes it entertaining, if I was interested in quality for my entertainment I’d stay at home and watch the TV

I'd agree that the top of League 2 to the bottom of LL is a massive gulf and then as you work down from L2 and up from LL you get to a patch where the bottom 4 and top 4 would be decent match ups.

Yeah totally agree. EK/Spartans seem pretty good, I want to say East Stirling too but seems strange saying that. Some very poor teams at the bottom of League 2, Cowdenbeath/Berwick, Clyde seem to be a bit better now and Edinburgh City seem poor too even though they look ok on paper. Definitely not that much between top 3/4 and bottom 3/4.

1320Lichtie
Big game for the smokiees today alloa have a good record at gayfield? They have recently yeah. But we’ve been poor for a while before DC came in and they’ve probably had their best spell in a long time in recent years. Looking forward to it.

With the reaction on here alone people would stop going to any game purely out of principle of colts in the league. Even if clubs combat that with reduced prices overall clubs would still not match up to current records.
