Lions Watch 2017

The capitulation at Twickenham cost a lot of people places.

Andy Nichol has an article somewhere on BBC where he said he was chatting to Gatland a couple of days before the Calcutta Cup match. Gatland said he wanted to see how the Scots stood up to a strong side away from home. So it does look like a few of the possible Lions did indeed suffer from that Capitulation

Whilst expecting it, seeing the lack of Scots in writing is a bit galling. Struggling to find any enthusiasm for the Lions tests now.

We went to Twickenham and were embarrassed.

Fair point if Gatland said, "f**k me England did that, what would NZ do!"

You forget Rule 1- Scotland lose, same old Scotland. Scotland win, my didn't Ireland/Wales play badly.

Gray not being picked on basis of one game when he personally wasn't that bad after two years if brilliant consistency is plain crazy. Both him n launchberry have been very very hard done to. Especially when one pick is on reputation and one is based on playing well once against England.

Rather undermined by picking 12 Welsh guys though....guys who were losing to Italy at half time.

And we were the only side that Italy did not score any points against

This gives me a dilemma.  Do I A) Watch the tests and support the Kiwis or B) Not watch the tests?

C) Watch the tests and hope for a good match

Don't give Murdoch your cash....soon as his mob commercialised the lions it became about loading the squad with Welsh n English players because that's the two biggest rugby audiences.

Watch the tests and hope for man of the match performances by Hogg whilst everyone else underperforms?

When nz overwhelm the lions hogg will be scapegoated as the defensive weak link. This whole lions farago has been and will continue to be painfully predictable.

The team manager guy is on five live just now. Was asked who was talking up the case for the Scots and he laughed and then said they don't take nationality in to account they just pick the best players available and then total up the nationalities at the end. Sound like shite to me.

Sorry was Graham Rowantree who's an assistant coach.
