Highlandbino
If the winner of the lowland/highland play off is from the highland league and they go on to beat the league team how do they decide where the relegated team plays? Most teams would geographically be in the lowlands but this could lead to very lopsided "feeder" leagues.
JakeSAFC
When Cowden are relegated, they will be relegated to the Lowland League as they are below the boundary.
Ranaldo Bairn
The boundary being the glorious, picturesque, River Tay. #perthshire.
HibeeJibee
As stated the boundary is basically River Tay. It's officially described given in HL's rulebook if you're interested and, IIRC, is actually a line of latitude equivalent to the Tay at Dundee. To avoid the 'lopsided' issue LL has a "safety-valve" type system: it relegates sufficient clubs to the EOS and SOS leagues to always remain at 16 clubs. HL has no such mechanism. EDIT: To elaborate on that "safety-valve": clubs try to avoid bottom 2 in LL but finishing second bottom could be OK. This season a club south of the Tay will finish bottom of SPFL2... second bottom in LL will then hope that bottom of SPFL2, or LL champion, wins the playoffs as that would let them stay up.
