Just going by the interview given by the New manager he was talking about going for the league next year. There was no hint or suggestion of things crumbling around him to the point he's league won't actually be there next year.

Ah well 13 team west Lothian league looks shit

Oh yes, it was said before. It would be surprising if they hadn't told them at that point. Of course being in the top league might change things. What's their ground like? Off to Wikipedia...

No details on Wikipedia or via a search here. Basically would the ground meet the basic EoS ground standards?

What West Calder?

Of course.

Have a look at Non-League Scotland.

West Calder have a decent set up. Played there with our 19's 6 or 7 years ago. Would meet EoS standards no problem.

Sounds like the sort of club that would benefit from the EoS then but it's of course their choice and there's possibility lots of other factors...

It really doesn't.

Fauldouse, Armadale, Bathgate, Whitburn may be in the wrong league going forward but its not going to be a shit league and its a bit odd to say it would be.

how is it not. Its going to be one division. Other than it being round the doors. The standard will go down hill. JC already said that at Fauldhouse he struggled to recruit players as it was.

We played Preston Athletic in a Friendly on Saturday who are in the first division and they are light years ahead of these teams. We put 12 past Harthill with squad players and 20s players playing.  Fauldhouse and Whitburn are not bad just now but not sure they are as good as say Preston

None of that makes it a "shit league"

Its a very interesting looking league.

It really isn't, a single division league where you're stuck in perpetuity regardless of how good or bad you are, and a League Cup against the same teams to look forward to.  Any club with a shred of ambition wouldn't go anywhere near it.  Local fitba for local people.

That's if things pan out like that of course, they might not.

...and how is that a bad thing exactly?

Should those clubs move, yes.

Will those same clubs be in a "shit league" that "isn't interesting"? No, no they wont. By any definition that's an interesting looking league for next season.

People are putting ambition for a functional pyramid ahead of rational thought into why clubs are going to remain. The major West Lothian junior clubs wont be moving for next season.

It's entirely upto those clubs to make their own choice as to their future, but let's not kid ourselves that the league as described would be in any way attractive to punters and players alike.

Explain to us the rational thought process behind these clubs remaining in a league like that?

Easy - it can be defined as clubs that continue to enjoy "sleeping with their sisters" and are not really worried if they are "missing a few fingers".

If that is what they enjoy fine - but the real football world outside that part of West Lothian has moved on and is a lot more healthy and vibrant. One day they will hopefully discover the truth.

Delayed until the 4th March. I'm Presuming you meant Lochore's meeting.

Yes I was.

In delaying their meeting,  are Lochore waiting on the outcome of the other two (announced) club meetings,  at Lochgelly Albert and Newburgh ?

Or are they hoping for information from the LL about the level of interest from clubs in joining the proposed WoSL/pyramid ?

If it is the latter, they may well be unlucky as the LL is committed to NOT releasing the names of any interested clubs.  This is a matter for the clubs themselves, and rightly so.
