Crawford Bridge
Did anybody watch the match yesterday? How did Lewis Miller get on at centre-back? Is he a legitimate starter ahead of Bushiri or do we need to sign another defender?

The 2 new Centre backs are very big lads and quick. Keeper is very vocal and looked comfortable too. Joe Newell playing as a 6 was effective. Vente is a player but he seems to drop into midfield too much. Boyle was an absolute nuisance too. We do need some reinforcements too (Simon Murray-yes please) but Gray has gone and sorted the biggest area of concern for me at the back. (Make that at any point of the year). Do hope Murray can be persuaded to stay at County, he was fantastic last season. Am pretty certain he’ll go though and this is all part of the deal making to get a better price.

I know this as fact.

Kyle Reese
How is that famous Hidees relationship going, lads? Are the Dees going to loan Murray to you -to keep you out of the relegation battle- once they secure top six?

We still love each other and look forward to both competing in the top 6 against each other this season and sharing the cups between us.

Lyle Lanley
Anyone seen the ALF interview. Kensall and Gordon told Monty not to play him. Get Kensall out of this club and Ian Gordon needs to stay behind the scenes.

Not like he was about to trigger an extra year or something and they wanted him to waive it, asking him to give up an already agreed year just to play is not a great look.

He was going to trigger another year if he played. He was asked to agree to removing it if he wanted to play as we weren't triggering it. From the club that done the same with bombscare bushiri it's actually good business for a change as Le Fondre is past it. His interview made it sound very much like it was already a 2 year deal, so fair enough. However, the fact remains the guys making the decision showed no balls by ducking the hard chat and had been already trying to punt him. It's snide as f**k to make a decision on someone's career and then leave it on Montgomery to tell him at the last minute when he thinks still involved.

Sounds like this year's gaffe after last year's "Thank you to Rocky Bushiri for his services. Hibs wish him well in his career." before finding out they'd already triggered a clause for his continued employment. As to Murray - he's shown his quality in the last two seasons for a club in a relegation battle. If Hibs really didn't want him, I'd be asking WTF not? Have they signed any other notable goal scorers?

He was on a 1 year deal with another year to be triggered if he played a certain amount of games, it's why he wouldn't be playing unless he agreed to scrap the deal. They were trying to loan him out for the sake of the player getting games. The footballers managers are usually the ones to tell the players why they arent going to be playing. But...I agree, it's like something that would pop out a Lithuanian fax machine around 20 years back.

Have they signed any other notable goal scorers? It was the opposite of the Rocky f**k up. Rocky played too many games so got a contract, we wanted to make sure Le Fondre wasn't so told him he wouldn't play to trigger this. There's 7 weeks left of the transfer window, plenty time to find a goal scorer. Vente scored plenty before he joined us too. It's not ideal but we were getting rid of Le Fondre and Hanlon/Stevenson because they wanted to cut down the age of the squad, nae point doing that then signing a 32 year old on a three year contract.
