Work colleagues

Recommended Posts

They are making my team work in our Alloa office instead of Glasgow next week, which is a nightmare to get to, fine on a Saturday for football but not so much for work with the shite once an hour trains.

I've waited to find out when everyone is starting so I could move when I am to not get stuck traveling with anyone else (the train after finishing there won't be for about an hour before an hour train journey, 3 extra hours with the c***s? Absolutely not ), turns out some lassie had tried to just agree when we were  starting herself so that we could actually travel together, what's wrong with these people.

maybe she's always fantasised about a gang-bang with her work colleagues on board a train - perhaps you should as her if that's the case, via email, with the rest of the office copied in ?

This sounds like it would be taking up too much of my planned pub and carry out for the train home time.

I would've drove and claimed the mileage back from the company, whilst giving 3 or 4 of my colleagues a lift and charging each of them 20 notes for fuel.

I was completely shafted (not in that way!) by my last company.

I was only there three months but felt very uncomfortable due to one particular boss there who ended up booting me because (for some reason) he didn't like me from day one.

Luckily they retired my position and I got 10 days' redundancy pay from the cuntos.

They sold the company as a 'fun, relaxed and social environment' but half the people there were dull as f**k.

A mate of mine inexplicably stuck his hand into a lawnmower while working for a landscaping company, eviscerated the top of his middle finger and, under New Zealand employment law, got 8 weeks off on 75% of his salary. This 8 weeks then merged seemlessly into the two weeks off over the Christmas period.

Had it happened a few years earlier he was would have most likely been entitled to a payout worth thousands of dollars as well.

The compensation claim would have been interesting.

"Can you tell the court how the injury happened?"
"Better than that, I'll show you - f**k me, it's happened again!"

Car sharing is a nightmare. You always get some chancer cadging a lift or making you late. Some lassie actually moaned about having to walk half a mile to get a free lift. I was proper raging and just lied and said I was on holiday the next day rather than tell her she was a gimp.
I didn’t even offer her one just got a text “so and so said you were passing”.
Enjoy the bus shithead.
She wasn’t a wid which made it worse.

Harlan Ellison, the American writer who died a few weeks ago, was sacked from the Disney Corporation after half a day.

He was having his dinner and joked about making a Disney porn movie. When he got back to his desk his pink slip (equivalent of the P45) was waiting for him.

Our work's been an overtime-fest over the past 4 weeks, and the first wage slips with OT bonus have just landed.  Someone somewhere in the payroll made a fuckup in the process, so everyone's been paid nearly double the OT payment they were expecting.

A worrying number of mentalists have alerted the company to this fact, rather than keep schtum and hope to get away with it, which has enraged those other staff who had the savvy to say nothing and hope to get away with it.

Doing that would be utterly mental. The company’s finance department would 100% realise at some point and take the money back. It’s like waking up and seeing your bank has accidentally credited you with £1000. If you spend it, they will take it back and you’ll have to repay.

For normal companies I agree.  However my lot, as a money-saving exercise, have outsourced all this type of payroll, HR etc stuff to India.  The amount of stuff that gets messed up is unbelievable.  I'd have been amazed if anyone from payroll had realised - we have circa 35000 employees worldwide, and the amount of people in here who have benefitted from this fuckup is under 100.

If I was one of the people with the extra payment, I'd be putting it away, and if it's not been reclaimed within a couple of months, I'd be pretty sure that it's never going to BE reclaimed, based on what I know.

Up to you, and you could well get away with it, but don’t think you can blame people for handing it back as there’s been plenty of cases of people keeping/spending money in this kind of circumstance and it coming back to bite them in the arse down the line.

Broadly this, yeah - every chance they would take the overpayment out of future wage packets.

There would also be a bit of a problem if someone kept quiet and seemingly got away with it, but then left the company for whatever reason and the company realising whats happened once they're away. Would be astonished if they would write it off without some extreme circumstance (ie the person left the company due to serious illness or the like, and even then they'd be within their rights to reclaim the moneys owed)
