I think that workplaces are obliged to provide water, tea and coffee so will need to supply the requisite components for these.

My work used to stock the fridge with milk but now there is a milk machine.

Stop being a wee pussy and just say you don't fancy it this time

I’d rather be more diplomatic than just say “nut am no coming”, you could learn something from me, Baracus. The fact is though, I just can’t be fucked. Let’s go out after work, inevitably, to talk about work and to bitch and moan about folk at work?

Diplomatic? This is your life you fool. What the f**k are you playing at? Why would you care if it won't sit well with the type of folk who would just 'bitch and moan about folk at work'?

Anyone who feels they need to make up an excuse for this type of thing is a weirdo and needs to have a word with themselves.

Especially the ones that have patched the night out.

Considering I see more of the people I work with than I do my own family then it's probably in my interests to be diplomatic.

That and the fact I don't enjoy being an utter c**t.

Running water yes. Milk, tea & coffee don’t be daft. My work supplies these but there’s definitely no obligation too.

Why do you think I usually go!? Not having these fucks talk about m!

Putting all that time and energy in to seemingly pleasing the type of folk who would talk about you and who seem to be areseholes is absolutely mental stuff.

You see them every day? So? You don't have to speak to them. If you do for work reasons then let it be awkward for them if they're being a dick.

Are folk actually being serious here with this stuff?

Why is it being an 'utter c**t' to tell folk you don't fancy going on a night out this time?

Because I care about it not sitting well with folk 'that bitch and moan about folk at work' which would represent about 99% of the workforce of Britain.

It's basically what work nights out are all about and a bit of football talk/karaoke of course.

Can you not just say you've got something else on that you didn't realise clashed with the night out?  I must say that I side with DA here, a works night out is the easiest thing to sidestep, any old excuse cuts it.

I see my workmates every day, and occasionally rely on their co-operation to help me get my job done more easily and efficiently.  Therefore not being a c**t to them, simply so that they don't think I'm a c**t, is beneficial to me.

And by not being a c**t, I mean simply saying 'hiya' if we happen to walk past each other, thanking them when they've helped me, and sitting with them at breaks (if I know them well enough to carry out a non-strained conversation).  I'm not advocating having deep and meaningful conversations about Love Island with people that I don't really know*.

*P&B's for that.

Probably will be the case, I’ll either say I can’t manage completely or say I can head to the first place but a pals coming round later on so I can’t head in to town.
It’s enjoyable seeing DA get so angry over it. I mean if he sends me his email address I’ll forward him the invite..?

But it's not being a c**t to say you simply don't fancy a night out

Once again; it's not being a c**t to simply say you don't fancy a night out.

If folk think otherwise, please explain.
