Rangers aren't a lure for anyone.
The expectations are far too high, for a start. There are some Gers fans who genuinely believe there should be a title challenge. This is the worst Rangers team in my lifetime. Celtic are a side, settled over the last few years and no one could turn that round quickly. There has to be an acceptance that Rangers will not compete for the next 4 years. Not a single Rangers player would get into Celtic side. You can't expect to compete.
Also, no money. Moronic fans thinking money has to be spent. Where is it gonna come from? The club is again spending out with its means. Recipe for disaster. No one has money to put in. Interest free loans aren't the answer either.
Liquidation, administration, sevco, blah blah blah.
It is the same football club, but doesn't feel like the same football club I grew up supporting.
One drama after the other. The club needs to stop trying to chase Celtic in a sprint and set about slowly building the foundations for the future.

It is not the same football club.

Do you think? I have always thought that they don't mind deep down if they are losing to Celtic. As long as the duopoly continues. They bang on about being "back where we should be". I believe that means to them that they are competing with their Sister club sharing the titles and cups.

Diddy teams finishing above them in the league and knocking them out of cups is what really hurts them.

That's right, but they won't be sharing titles will they, they might be sharing cups, but not titles. During the 40s & 50s, Hibs, Hearts and Aberdeen won 6 titles between them, Celtic won only 1 and Rangers won the rest. Rangers were quite happy with that scenario, even with diddy teams winning the title. Rangers weren't always second either.

If it's the same football club then explain the liquidation m8.

Put simply, I can't.
I'm not going to pretend to be some tax or business law expert unlike many thousands of newly founded, self taught experts since 2012, fully versed in posting screenshots of the daily record or court hearings.
I'll leave that to wee Johnny from Castlemilk, unemployed as f*ck, with 1 standard grade in woodwork, 17 kids and tucks his trackie bottoms into his socks. Favourite words are 'deid' , 'zombie' and 'sevco'.

The sfa, UEFA and FIFA seem to still recognise the history and relevance of the club so I pretty much have to go along with that, along with the other factors I mentioned.

If that changed and they were stripped, I would be the first to recognise that meant it was a different club.

I understand why people feel it's important for people to pretend it's a different club.
But if it has the same stadium, colours, name, fans, training pitch, staff, rivalries, history, then it's the same club.
A different owning company, registered name at companies house or whatever it is on paper, fundamentally doesn't really matter.
If it wasn't the same club, other fans wouldn't give a rats ass or spend so much time slaughtering them. But they do, so it is.

That's not what I asked. I'm asking why you think it so vital for them to be the same team.  Would you not follow them if they were a new club that were "spiritual inheritors" of the old club's traditions. Is all about 54 and keeping ahead of Celtic.  Is it just a comfort blanket to cling to in life?

I didn't say it was vital for them to be the same team or club.

The Rangers Media orcs want Neil McCann to get it.
He's probably too expensive for them but they should keep reaching for the stars.

Neil McCann. [emoji23]

The only reason they’ll want him is because the Celtic fans hate him.
