Partick Thistle VS Hamilton Academical #LambieDerby

Not pretty but if we lost to that gang we'd as well have just forfeited the rest of our games.

Accies back in the mix with County and us. Bring it fucking on*!

BBC reporting as bad as ever - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43762821

"But the Jags were level when Doolan was given time and space in the penalty box to nod in the equaliser. And the comeback was complete when a shot from Ryan Edward went through a forest of legs to deceive Tomas Cerny."

:thumbsdown

I assume the last time the summariser watched Accies Tomas was their goalie.

Fucking beautiful.

Some proper backbone today. Erskine, McCarthy and Sammon all had good games. Not pretty but a vital win.

Defending for the Hamilton goal was a total travesty.

Still got the best home record in the bottom six round robin.

*tentatively whistles Great Escape theme*

It's a pity it took the death of the Legend to really pump up atmosphere at the ground. The JLS was bouncing today and even the JHS got going as well. The difference was the subs who injected a bit of pace into the team. Let's just go for it now and start with Dools and The Fish up front for the last 4. Don't want to criticise anyone today but whoever voted for Blair Spittal as MOTM must have been out in the sun too long. Bizarre choice to say the least.

Accies lost that the minute Templeton was subbed.

Our subs changed the game, but similarly I was puzzled by the decision to take Templeton off. He caused us no end of problems. Was over the moon to see him getting subbed. I would take him at Firhill next season.

The match report has been extended and they still haven't fixed it, pathetic.

And this was added - "Chris Erskine dragged a shot wide, then played in Doolan as the stand-in captain watched his low shot saved by Accies goalkeeper Gary Woods." I can only assume that the BBC hacks are Sevconian idiots.

The first 30 minutes was as bad as we've been this season, and they were incredibly lucky to have not conceded. Jenkins was playing in midfield himself thanks to Ferguson, who played his worst game for us today, and Templeton playing far too high up. Thistle doubled up on Imrie when getting forward and no one got out to help him; I don't think Canning did anything to rectify this.

Ogkmpoe did well in his hold-up play but Templeton was the only one getting close to him and finding space. Darren Lyon was the only wing-back getting forward, and even then he was constantly cutting inside, so you had to have one of the forward four drifting to the right to stretch things and not make it easy for Thistle.

The goal, and any other good passages of play, all came from squeezing the midfield and getting Templeton to drive at them. The decision to bring him off was just baffling. We had three good chances, all coming through him. Special mention for the two abysmal misses that could've killed things.

Yet again, there appears to be a complete inability to defend set pieces.

The first goal was no one knowing which positions to take up once the second ball came in, and Spittal had a free run right from the corner coming in to him collecting the ball out wide.

f**k knows what happened with the second.

We're down.
