The last thing anyone wants is teams going bust because of all this mess. Great statement from the club today and being as positive as possible to push for promotion into the league set up. Can't ask for anymore from the guys behind the scenes - well done!

TheSaltire
Serious question... Can the SPFL handle all these statements from other clubs without overhaul? Falkirk, Partick... Who's next? What a fucking mess

It needs a wider constituency to really gain traction
traffordab
Another day another statement. This really is a parody of a club with an over inflated opinion of themselves. You'd think they would have learned from some of the car crash statements they have made in the past. Only thing i can think of now is they are attention seeking even more so than usual now. -

lobo
Another statement yes, all they are doing is keeping their fans up to date on what is going on. If you don't like it don't go onto the club website.
AlansHotBath
I wonder who the first chairman to statement themselves out of a job will be? Bunch of guys getting increasingly wound up with no actual football to distract them, it's bound to tip someone over the edge. Kelty's statement is also not quite right, there's not really automatic relegation from the LL when that is dependent on what happens at the playoffs at the top, but f**k trying to explain that to Doncaster.
traffordab
What a repulsive club now threatening legal action toys well and truly out the pram. Spent a fortune to win a pub league only to get parked out the scottish cup every year they play anyone half decent. Spent even more to get handed title in a close leagues. Heritage out the window to chase a 'dream' of playing the likes of elgin and albion rovers. No shame in playing up to the rangers connection. Meaningless statement after statement. Thinking the whole world revolves around them and more. Everything that is wrong with a football club rolled into one. I don't even know where to start... Heritage out of the window? Kelty's heritage is in amateur football, so if it did go out of the window it was when they joined the juniors, not when they left it. Regardless of what you think about the club, they have a right to feel aggrieved that their chance to get promoted to the SPFL has been taken away from them. With likely Bo'ness going up and possibly big west clubs in seasons to follow it's only getting harder to get out of that league. And calling it a pub league isn't exactly helpful. How much football have you seen in the LL? The standard is very decent. People keep pointing out Kelty got horsed by Talbot, but let's be honest, Talbot have been well ahead of everyone else in junior football for some time.

Agree with traffordab, Kelty get awarded League title by default to the detriment of Bonnyrigg with 6 to play. Very happy to accept that decision by the Lowland board.Happy to accept no play offs with discussions ongoing regarding reconstruction and possible invite into League 2 Now threatening Legal action ,maybe some pressure to do this from Barry and Bob (wonder why !!!) when things dont go their way .A lot of bleating about money spent etc. We are all in the same boat ,Spartans,Dalbeattie,Civil,Gala,EK and others have been in the League since inception and have been spending on squads, stadium etc since the start. Get over it Kelty, show a bit of class if thats possible !!! Time to move on and get the Clubs/ League planning how and when we will be able to continue safely next season Thoughts ? -

I would have taken them to hold onto there lead over the remainder of the games left but it was tight and could have swung the other way. Season is a right off. Nobodys fault. Take your title. We all just want to see football back. Legal action is the last thing anyone wants to see. None of this is ideal for any club. Just need to suck it up, regroup and hopefully we all come through this shite to enjoy saturday afternoons again.
big al
Does anyone think lower league football will even be played this calendar year? Some official on sportsound the other week has already said there will be no amateur football or 5 a sides this year. What is the point of the lower leagues playing without fans? Nothing. Top leagues have games on tv but the rest? Play so you can see a scoreline on a Saturday evening? Completely pointless and almost all lower league clubs can’t afford to pay players without fans paying in.

They need to discover the formula and create a vaccine it then needs to be licensed, mass produced and distributed. That is a massive undertaking and I cannot see it all happening before the end of the year. In the meantime a second outbreak is a very strong possibility. I hate being so negative but when you hear the pish coming from the SPFL (Planning for beginning of July) it’s just garbage.

That might never happen despite all the hype about it. Think herd immunity might turn out to be they key instead and given how badly the UK got hit there's a good chance it's not that far off. Once things reach a point where most of the population has already been exposed to it and there are relatively few new cases and daily deaths happening, pressure will start to build to accept COVID19 as just another risk we all face every day of our lives and return to normality. -
