8MileBU
Spot on. That's been getting overlooked recently due to a lack of end-product but the guys have taken on board the need to shoot more and the goals will come.....hopefully next week in the big Rose net. Said this a couple of weeks ago when one of our regular posters was IMO, way over critical of BU performances/position despite us still being unbeaten in the league. Sometimes for a variety of reasons you have to grind out results. Loads of talk going on about a possible appeal.........but it's from Linlithgow Rose fans whose obsession with the BU's continues. Standard.

Can remember way back when we got flung out before a League Cup Final , then of course the Scottish debacle. All that effort from the players getting to the final and all the money spent by supporters going to games all for nothing . Heads must roll . EOSFL had no choice so fair play to them . Never easy being a BU fan . Heard of this over the weekend and felt compelled to post. Having looked in from time to time i am utterly surprised none of you are blaming Kegs. Horrible situation and for what it is worth i would say replay the game. Just to note Kegs left us because of the unprofessional set up of our committee. Watch this space !!! seenitall
He signed the player , the night before a semi final and should have been doubly sure of no suspensions or tell the coach to leave him out squad .

Whilst he is the Chairman he is only really new to the position and has had to oversee the Club move from the East Juniors to the EOSL. IMHO no reason to resign. The fact that due diligence wasn't adhered to prior to the signing makes the Secretaries position untenable. Proper procedure has to be followed before, during and after signing a player. The information on this Player was available on the SFA list of those suspended, along with (in Red) the warning to check out those still there from previous seaspns. The question to ask is there procedures in place to follow when signing players? If not why not?
Ginaro
http://www.bonessunitedfc.co.uk/news/statement-from-the-chairman-2362678.html "The player in question that was ineligible to play was signed late on Friday afternoon, by myself and a huge effort was made to get the paperwork scanned through to Hampden in the hope of getting registered for the Saturday. At this time the suspension list was checked as it usually is every week prior to a game but with the player not being listed as a Bo'ness United player at the time of the suspension it was missed and was a genuine error on behalf of the club secretary Douglas Argent and myself." Well of course, if you're signing an unattached player they are unlikely to be listed under Bo'ness... At least Dundonald had a slightly more plausible (but still bullshit) excuse, saying they searched for the player's name but it was misspelled - Bo'ness don't even appear to have done that! Jambo'ness
A head has rolled, correctly on this occasion. Carrying out an internal witch-hunt isn't going to change anything. Good luck to the new secretary, he is going to need it.

We are all entitled to our opinions , that’s why we come on here , but IMHO Mr Muirhead has admitted he was part of the “!mistake” so must also go .No witch hunt , just the right thing to do .
