Bo'ness United 2018/19

Recommended Posts

It's fair to suggest that Bonnyrigg do have bigger fish to fry, but still a very pleasing performance yesterday and that should give us a bit of confidence if - as seems likely one way or another - our paths cross again this season.

Leaves us well placed to get second place too, though still a bit of work to do.

You are being KIND AND UNKIND in your post     Kind to Bonnyrigg that their quest for cups was more important than the game against you yesterday and didn't have to play at their normal tempo   and unkind to a Bo ness team who from the kick off   out thought   out manouvered    and completely outplayed a very jaded team who were out on their feet in the late part of the second half  and their opponents   were still full of running and mopping up everything flung at them by means of attack.

Bo ness have come on leaps and bounds lately and Max will mould his players into a useful competitive team.

I agree with you - certainly didn't mean to come across as unkind to Bo'ness, who were excellent yesterday.

Looking back , we have been miles behind Bonnyrigg all season , but
If we had beaten them at home , had scored more goals during season, we would have had the next 4 games to win the league .
Strange how things can sometimes work out .

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but I do wonder how things would have panned out had Max started the season in charge.

Sime header 2-1 to the BU's.

Ian Syme’s first goal for the Club. Not really had a decent left-back for a few seasons and he has been consistent.

We were really of the pace at times last night, poor passing leading to giving the ball away and putting us under pressure. The bumpy surface didn’t help but that’s what happens at this time of year.

McKenzies tackle looked similar to Bonnyriggs’s left backs on Devon last Saturday and he was only given a yellow. Different Ref,s interpretation of.  Could appeal it but as we know once in a blue moon !!!!!!,

Another tough one tomorrow. A few questions of who are available with Donnelly a doubt also missing McKenzie and  will Snowdon be back?
Will  Tranent bring a large travelling support or will it be the usual tandem.

Will they f**k. Their support seems to consist of about 50% (probably higher) jaikie tramps. They’ll have spent Good Friday and their £6 gate money drinking White Lightning in the garden and pishing their trackies.
