Superb piece by the Sports Columnist of the year .I am not clever enough to post the whole article. Please feel free to do so , but a few points to consider .

The Improving youth football in Scotland  petition, raised in the Scottish parliament in MARCH 2010. It called  to  allow an audit of where  MILLIONS  of pounds of PUBLIC money

received for YOUTH DEVELOPMENT  has gone.

The case of 16 yr old Ross Hamilton who was paid £20 a MONTH  to play for Livingston who ALLEGEDLY stopped him PLAYING schools football .

St Mirren ALLEGEDLY paying £1 A WEEK  to a 16 year old.

Holyrood Petitions Committee stating SFL and SFA  "not capable or not willing" when it comes to protecting children's rights and that external regulation is needed .

The APPALLING handling and lack of child abuse  safeguards .

Are these people fit for office ?.

Its time for change .

Thoughts  ? .

The SFA and the SPFL are incapable of running their Organisations in accordance with their own documented rules. It's little wonder they're found to be woefully inadequate when it comes to managing the necessary checks and balances for something as serious as child protection under their remit.....
