Jambo'ness
In 1947 Volunteer Park, Armadale, was the setting for the East of Scotland Cup semi-final against Bathgate Thistle. It's reported a crowd of 4000 attended in bright sunshine, to see the BU's win by the only goal 1-0. The winning goal was scored by Willie Dickson, although another by Anderson was ruled out for an 'earlier infringement'. The team was: Stanners, W. Mitchell, Brash, Paton, Stewart, McKie, McGowan, Dickson, Anderson, Pryde, McLean

Jambo'ness
Well done. Thought this might trip some up but Darren was in front with 19, Hissy behind him on 14.
Jambo'ness
We now go to 1991 and a 1st round match in the Peter Craigie Cup at Whitburn. Never an easy place to go at that time, the BU's managed a 2-2 draw with goals from George Allison and Gary Dalton and secured a win 5-4 on penalties. The side was: Kirkwood, Dunleavie, Cheape (Dawson), Purdie, McLean, Malloy, Dalton (Burns), McLennan, Thomson, Fisher, Allison
Jambo'ness
The teaser takes us to 2013 and a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Sauchie. Two players were red-carded, one from each side. Can you name them? The Sauchie player was a former BU.

Jambo'ness
Right back to 1951 now and an East of Scotland Cup 3rd round clash with Tranent. This was a replay at Newtown, after the sides had drawn 1-1 a fortnight before. Playing against a strong wind in the 1st half, the BU's defended well and at the break it was 1-1. The 2nd half saw the BU's dominate and come out with a 3-1 win. Willie Gardiner scored twice and R Ronaldson also netted. The team was: Foote, Tennant, McKeeman, Hogg, Thomson, McKie, Kelly, Reid, Gardiner, Steedman Ronaldson
Jambo'ness
More than one might be needed to answer this teaser. This day in 2012 we travelled to Prestonfield, between the two match squads, how many had or were to play for both clubs (and their names).
Scuzz
Think I may have six if they were available that day (that's if the MacLellans were later joining than this season). Fleming and Shirra went to them, Nimmo came to us that year. Only others I can think of are Cal Smith, Stewart Devine and Kevin Watt.
Scuzz
Good shout, there's every chance. Think it's too early for Strickland. Here's one for you, was Steven Hislop ever registered as a player for the Rose?
