Their team included former BU stopper Dick Chambers, who was to re-sign for the BU's the following season from South African football. Grangemouth had an early goal chalked off and ended up on the wrong side of a 3-1 scoreline. Goals came from the two Joe's, Young & Turner and Kenny Gillespie. Chris Hamilton & Steve Hislop got the goals as the BU's came back from a goal down. The last two minutes saw three sent off, two from the home side and Jay Shields.
