Tom Wilson
First class from Tayport. As a wee aside, why does Tayport have a DD (Dundee) post code and a Dundee STD code i.e. 01382 when Tayport is in Fife?

loughton
Only just discovered this. What a great archive and certainly makes you appreciate the amount the club have crammed into its short history! Looking forward to taking in a game soon at the club and just as importantly getting into the tayport arms for a few pre and post match pints ! -
Stargazer
Outstanding stuff. Great read and love to look back at the players involved. I personally only once faced a Tayport XI (when they were still an amateur outfit albeit with a few teams) as a jersey filler for one of the poorer teams in the area ( amateur fitba in Fife is complicated) but the now (recently departed) United Colleges XI got stuffed at least 11 or 12 nil at St Andrews Uni in the late 80's and I was a sub for the university second XI....hence jersey filler
