Obviously you don't know much about politics, you probably don't vote in general elections yet no doubt complain about the government in power. The Labour party is a political party founded on the principles of socialism. Are you with me so far? So as a socialist I would tend to vote for the Labour party.  Hope that clears it up for you.

So, does the current Labour party support this socialist principle?

"To secure for the workers by hand or by brain the full fruits of their industry and the most equitable distribution thereof that may be possible upon the basis of the common ownership of the means of production, distribution and exchange, and the best obtainable system of popular administration and control of each industry or service"

When in power at Westminster, has the Labour party ever managed to implement this socialist principle?

I could continue, but this is a football thread, not a politics thread. Suffice to say that I've voted at every election (local, Scottish, Westminster & European) and every referendum since my 18th birthday (late 1970's) and take a keen interest in politics. The current Labour party (to my mind) do not espouse socialist values.

Yet the Labour Party of the Blair/Brown era bare no resemblance to the founding socialist values you so fondly remember. Maybe it’s you who doesn’t know too much about politics.

Not that I want to contribute to an already clustershambles of a thread since Bobby Barr put Arbroath to the sword, but these things shouldn’t be left unchallenged.

Move along now.

Surprised a Fifer would even post a picture of the witch, but if you can't think for yourself go ahead and do what other people tell you to do

I’m neither from Fife nor life in Fife. I’m from Tory country, just like you.

I’d rather Bobby Barr do my thinking for me than a totalitarian state.
