The park wasn’t great and Blantyre put in some shift, especially, when they went down to 10 men. The park wasn’t great and Blantyre put in some shift, especially, when they went down to 10 men. Darvel were the better team and the better team usually win. Larky55 Posted August 7, 2019 Share Posted August 7, 2019 Both teams gave everything. Vics finished very strongly & nearly got a late equaliser.Darvel impressed, Darren Miller outstanding. Apart from his goal he nearly scored 3 times from left wing corner kicks.Vics goalie, & no 8, played very well. First half was slack from both sides but Darvel finished the better with some good passing before getting FK in dangerous area, great finish from Darren Miller. Start of 2nd half we came out the stronger and knocked the ball around which led to few rash tackles eventually leading to red for Blantyre no 2. Vics were more effective down to 10 men and we fell out the game a bit before getting a 2nd goal. Chrissy didn’t really have much to do in way of saves 2nd half. 3 points and 2 from 2 which matters most as I wouldn’t say we were even out of the starter blocks yet in terms of performance.
