The Homeless Gospel Choir - The Land Is Your Landfill New albums from Biffy Clyro, Cold Years and IDLES still to come this year - all three will place high I'm sure.
Sauzee#4
There will not be a better album than What The Dead Men Say by Trivium this year. The Defiant is an absolute monster of a tune.

CountyFan
Don't know how I missed this but the Smith Street Band released a digital only live album via bandcamp with proceeds going to their currently unemployed road crew. 10 Australian dollars well spent.
Jimi Shandrix
Got the new Liam Hayes album "Mirage Garage" today from Norman. Very much in the same vein as "Korp Sole Roller". Bit of a 70's AM radio yacht vibe. Timeless stuff. Has rarely put a foot wrong in a 25+ year career.
BillyAnchor
Just heard a song from the new 999 album, not too shabby.
Gianfranco
I’m looking forward to Hinds new album coming out. Some of the singles they’ve released recently are bangers.

Now that was a belter of a single.
BillyAnchor
Nice article on The Mountain Goats and their new release. I know they aren't for everyone. https://www.theatlantic.com/culture/archive/2020/05/mountain-goats-john-darnielle-social-isolation/610948/?fbclid=IwAR3WdovkIUI-85ASXdyc5zvbCA5zv2ZVvgJJC9EPBo6WIpIw3AVUU0cxJAQ
Ocular Patdown Required
Anyone else listened to Ed O'Brien's first solo album Earth? Played through it a couple of times this weekend, first thoughts are that it's ok but not great

Savage Henry
Sounded alright. It's no Teens of Denial.I don’t know if it’s because Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales was such a great single, but nothing on this album jumps out. His lyrics are still great, but I’m going to have to spend longer with it.
Gianfranco
Teens of Denial was class. Join the dots Frank Sinatra, unforgiving Girl and hippie powers were easily in my top 100 Spotify that year.

That might also be great or disappointing.

If there's anything on it half as good as "Big" or "Dublin City Sky" that'll be good enough for me.

I’ve always felt Dublin City Sky sounds completely out of place on that record, and even more so in their live sets.

I agree, "Dublin City Sky" did sound a bit out of place but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. I think it improves their chances of longevity if they have more than one string to their bow. Nobody wants another situation like The Strokes. Taken on its own merits "Dublin City Sky" is an absolute beauty IMO. The new track is growing on me. Cracking video as well.
