There is no debate that Britains part in India is far from good, but as you note above, it is a ‘huge drag’ but it is not wholly responsible. I was dropping my pal (and SonsTV's commentator) off in Partick last night after the game, and there were folk spilling out of kebab shops and stoating about all over the shop. It was fantastic to see. I've given him a run home from every midweek game since we restarted and the whole West End has been a ghost town. Every day we all benefit hugely from infrastructure and economic development that happened before any of us were born. Its social wealth there are endless examples. A "deal" with Randox to do home PCR testing. £180 per person per trip and that's only if you travel yourself to drop each of the 3 tests off at a Randox lab otherwise it's courier return each time at customers cost. I won’t disagree, but again. To say Britain is wholly responsible for India as it is today is just not true. A big part yes, but even the miss conception that Hindus and Muslims are divided into India and Pakistan is not wholly true. India, in 2015 still had the second largest muslim population of any country. Like most things, it is not completely black or white. I am picking up on the OP’s original suggestion that everything that is wrong with India was down to Britain. Its not, a big part yes, but not ‘wholly’.
