archieb
Broadcast on Periscope apparently, but the link didn't come up on Twitter until after it finished, and "no replay available". Anybody get it?

Marshmallo
Why did this have to take place today of all days Beith/Darvel/Broughty will be delighted - not that the games will ever go ahead -

Haggis nut
Can see there being no more football this sadly, no chance of catching up then having a break and getting new season organised.
archieb
Depending on when (if ever) things get back to something approaching normal, you could: (1) Play out the rest of season 2019-20 to a finish (2) Play a shortened half-season League programme till April 2021 (by e.g, splitting each 16-team division in the West Region either top & bottom or by seeding into 2 x 8-team Conferences) (3) Start afresh for 2021-22 There are many other possibilities of course.

mick90
Nothing can happen until the peak of infection is well past ... maybe August if China is anything to go by .. and these clubs probably will not be in the juniors then ... now we see why the draw was made ot this time by the loonies self-incarcerated in the toilets at Hampden ... getting out of SJFA is the best choice any club can ever make in its history.
FairWeatherFan
I've had the intro to Pinky & the Brain stuck in my head since yesterday because of this
the rambler
I agree, if compromise is agreed West Juniors will still be SJFA members.

"For the avoidance of doubt, any player who had played in the competition this season so far will be eligible if he subsequently signs for one of the remaining teams in competition." Too late for the winners (if not Talbot) to be slotted into the WH Scottish Cup though ... or would they be eligible for 2021-2? The SJFA won't have the power to set fixtures for 5 of the remaining 6 teams though. So they default & just award the trophy to Broughty??

Could be played as a “curtain warmer” when other clubs are playing their pre-season friendlies. Would probably attract large attendances after lockdown but numbers could be restricted.

beithboy
I don’t agree with the players can play for a different club in what is technically last seasons cup. They should be cup tied.
