Terry Singh
I read the SJFA have cash squirreled away so any sign they are going to help clubs
Ardenvohr6
Would they give out cash to any club that would be heading for the WOSL and abandoning the SJFA?
Guest
Abandoning the sjfa? Or looking to progress their club by joining a forward thinking league where the possibilities are endless?

Nobody's "abandoning" anything - you equally could argue the association abandoned the clubs the minute they decided their continued survival was paramount over their constituent clubs' best interests: "The association is sacrosanct...."

That’s what we were told by HMRC last week when we phoned their help line to ask. Youre right though as I can’t find anything on their website to confirm that. Wouldnt like to think they’re dishing out duff information.
theesel1994
If you don't like the answer you get when phoning HMRC phone them a couple of hours later and a different person will give you a different answer.
Vollyman
I agree that response should be challenged where is the SFA and SJFA on this they should be acting in the interest of their members
BMan
SFA Licenced clubs received their payments from the SFA last Wednesday. This payment would normally have been made in December 2020
The Ilford Drummer
If clubs are forced to pay players during this shutdown it will be the end of more than a few.
maggotman
Hearing Pollok players are refusing to take a wage cut. This could be bad for the club as most players are getting over £100 a week. Leaves them open to being called Money Grabbing Mercenaries or other, less polite terms
Bellsdale Boy
The SFA / SJFA have already issued guidance on the CVJR scheme to clubs which came from their accountants. Only clubs who operate a PAYE system will be eligible and who also furlough their players. Those who still use brown envelopes will find it impossible to use the scheme as will possibly those who have already stated publically that they are not paying their players.
